오델로 그렇다고 말씀드려야 겠군요. I may say so in this respect.

그 순간 분노에 사로잡힌 오델로가 데스데모나에게 달려들어 우악스럽게 데스데모나의 목을 조른다. 이야고는 오델로를 도와 데스데모나를 꼼짝 못하게 붙잡는다. 데스데모나는 죽지 않으려고 있는 있는 힘껏 발버둥치지만 결국 목이 졸려 축 늘어진다. 이 모든 과정이 상당히 과격하고 적나라하며 구질구질할 정도로 처절하고 난폭하다. 데스데모나가 죽는 순간 ‘손수건’ 조명만을 남기고 무대가 어두워진다.
