옛날 사람인 나는, 영어공부를 꽤 힘들게 한 나는, 민병철 영어가 최고인 줄 알았다. 아니, 어떻게 이런 방법이? 일주 두 번 직접 외국인과 통화를? 와우. 그런데 하면서 보니 여기 강사들은 거의 다 필리핀 사람들이다. 그런데 오늘 미국, 캐나다 강사들로만 꽉 차있다는 곳을 인터넷에서 우연히 본다. 오호 고뤠? 일단 무료 레벨테스트 신청을 해본다. 한 곳 시작하면 다른 데 눈 안 돌리는 나의 특성상 어느새 민병철 영어만 한 4년째 해오고 있다. 그런데 미국인 강사들로 꽉 차있다는 광고가 나의 시선을 확 끈다. 어디 한 번 눈을 돌려 봐? 일단 무료 레벨 테스트를 받아보는 거다. 미국인 강사는 필리핀 강사와 얼마나 다른지 보기 위하여. 하하 그리고 보니 전화 영어 하는 곳이 정말 많기도 많다. 가성비를 따져 제일 괜찮은 곳을 골라낼 필요가 있을 것도 같다. 4년째 주야장천 한 곳만 이용하는 내가 쫌 문제가 있는 건지도 모르겠다. 그래 눈을 크게 떠보자. 아니 눈을 뱅글뱅글 돌려보자. 푸하하하 좋은 곳 골라낼 때까지 뱅글뱅글 좌삼삼 우삼삼. 내가 학교 다닐 때는 카세트를 톡 톡 톡톡 안 들리는 문장에서 되돌려 감기 해가며 영어라고 해봐야 그저 AFKN 뉴스뿐. 그 뉴스를 마르고 닳도록 듣고 또 듣고 받아 적어 가면서 그렇게 공부했는데 요즘은 영어 공부하기 좋은 시스템이 얼마나 많은지. 와우. 아무리 눈을 뱅글뱅글 돌린다 해도 나에겐 오늘 딩동 도착한 첨삭을 마무리해야 할 과제가 남아있다. 파이팅!!!

Let me describe my dream job, as if I had already achieved it as follows hahaha. I am a writer who earns much money. I like reading and writing, so I think it's the reason why I became a writer. I don't have to do other things, such cooking, housekeeping, etc. because I earn a lot of money. I can hire someone to do such things, such as cooking and many household chores. I do not want to do other things. I want to do only reading and writing. I earn a lot of money, so it's possible for me to do only what I want to do. I think the most important characteristics to succeed in life are being sincere and persistent. I have such characters. I start my day very early in the morning. I like to go to the library to read books. I like the atmosphere of the library, where there are many books. If I open a book club, then I can talk with many people. Being sincere and patient are required to be the writer. So I always try to be sincere and patient. Reading and writing are my favorite.
