<Lab Girl> 텍스트 활용하기

연재를 시작한 이유는 고등학교 1학년 딸의 영어 공부를 도와주고 싶어서입니다. 올해 수능 영어가 무지 어려웠잖아요. ㅠㅠ 수능 본 선배들 이야기를 들으면서 긴장감도 많이 들고, 영어 공부를 탄탄히 해야겠다는 생각이 들었다고 해요. 물론 앞으로 게시할 내용들이 영어 실력을 확 끌어올릴거라는 장담은 못하겠으나 가랑비에 옷 젖듯이 일주일에 한 지문씩 건네 보려고 합니다. 당연히 영어 문제의 텍스트나 활동지의 텍스트는 엄선해서 고를 것입니다. 우리 아이가 꼭 읽었으면 하는 책들을 하나씩 하나씩 꺼내 오려고 해요. 영어 교사이다 보니 학교 생활이 무지 바쁘고 힘들답니다. 그래도 걱정 안합니다. 우리에겐 gemini가 있잖아요. 제미나이 활용하여 영어 문제를 만들 예정입니다. 제미나이에게 책 텍스트를 주면 제미나이가 약간 재구성하여 텍스트를 다시 만들어 줍니다. 그리고 그 재구성된 텍스트를 기반으로 제미나이가 문제를 만들어줍니다. 관심있는 분들, 중학생, 고등학생 학부모님들 같이 가요!

첫번째 고른 책은 호프 자렌의 <Lab Girl>입니다. 우리 딸이 꼭 읽었으면 해서 계속 들이 밀었답니다. 학교 추천도서이고 하니 관심을 보여서 조금씩 읽고 있다고 해요. 우리 딸은 정말 맘이 약한 딸이에요. 하지만 은근 끈기도 있어요. 적절히 잘 이끌어줘야 해요. 딸이 이 책을 집어들때 마다 속으로 환호성을 지릅니다. (정말 극성인 K맘인거 알아요. 뜨끔) 그래도 Keep Going!
