Day 17 <Life Lessons from My Father>

내가 군대 가기 전까지 아버지는 20년이나 대기업 회사에 다니셨다.
(My father had been working at a major corporation for twenty years before I enlisted in the military.)
군대에서 제대했을 때, 아버지는 그 일대신 작은 배달트럭 기사 일을 하고 있었다.

아버지가 자신의 삶에 자신있고 당당한 모습을 보면서 나도 많은 생각을 하게 되었다.

나는 직함, 월급, 사회적 시선 같은 것들이 한 사람의 가치를 규정한다고 잘못 생각하고 있었다는 걸 깨달았다.
