퍼듀 대학은 미국 명문 주립대학으로 유에스 뉴스 랭킹 53위 대학이다. 유에스 뉴스가 내는 세계대학 랭킹에서 114위다. 서울대학이 124위, 연세대 329위, 고려대 264위다. 이 대학은 공대와 경영대가 유명하다. 잘 가르치는 대학 36위, 공대 랭킹 9위다.
오늘은 미국 명문 주립 퍼듀 대학의 지원 실제에 대해 알아본다.
■ 입학 기준
퍼듀 대학에 지원하기 위해서는 다음 서류들이 필요하다.
- 고등학교 성적표(GPA)
- SAT 또는 ACT 시험 점수(필수는 아니지만 Purdue Fort Wayne Scholarship 고려사항에 대해 강력히 권장)
- 해당되는 경우 AP(Advanced Placement) 시험 점수(AP 시험에서 Purdue Fort Wayne 학점 획득에 대한 자세한 내용은 AP 페이지 참조)
- 만약 홈스쿨링 학생이라면, 별도의 기준 요구. 홈스쿨 성적표 작성 및 제출에 대해 자세히 알아보십시오.
To successfully apply as a homeschooled student, you must have followed the curriculum requirements of the Indiana Core 40 or Academic Honors Diploma. Use the information below to assist with building a homeschool transcript to include with your application for admission.
● Developing a Homeschool Transcript
These guidelines may help you create a transcript if you have not used a program or curricula that transcripts your education record. Be sure to include the following components:
= Student's name, address, phone number, and date of birth
= For each high school grade level (grades 9, 10, 11, 12) include:
- All subjects studied with the name and author of the text(s) used for the course
- The grade (number or letter) earned in each course
- Amount of credit for each course (semester or year)
- Days present in school at each grade level
= Grading scale used to determine grades
= Extracurricular activities
= Date of graduation
= Homeschool registration number obtained from the Indiana Department of Education (optional)
= Signature of the home school administrator/teacher verifying he/she was the educator of the student

미국 영주권자이고 미국 이외의 지역에서 고등학교 과정을 이수했다면 공인 국제 평가 기관의 평가를 받은 학력 기록을 제출해야 한다. 자격 증명 평가에 대해 자세히 알아보십시오.
고등학교를 졸업한 지 2년이 넘으면 성인 학습자로 간주된다. 성인 학습자는 지원서와 함께 SAT 또는 ACT 점수를 제출할 필요가 없다. 검정고시 성적은 지원 기준의 일부로 고등학교 성적표 대신 사용될 수 있다.
■ 입학 원서 마감
Priority: Apply by October 31, 2021.
Preferred: Apply between November 1, 2021, and December 15, 2022.
Early: Apply between December 16, 2021 and February 1.
Rolling: Apply between February 2 and the first day of classes.
■ 성적표
학생이 재학 중인 교육기관에서 퍼듀대학에게 직접 성적표를 보내주셔야 하므로, 굳이 애플리케이션 포털을 통해 업로드할 필요는 없다. 성적표를 직접 업로드하면 공식으로 간주되지 않는다. 퍼듀 포트 웨인에게 공식 성적표를 제공할 수 있는 옵션은 다음과 같다.

■ SAT, ACT 성적표
퍼듀 포트 웨인(Purdue Fort Wayne)은 모든 학생들이 SAT 시험을 치르도록 강력히 권장하고 있다. 2021년 봄 우리 대학의 입학 요건은 아니지만, 표준화된 시험 성적은 Purdue Fort Wayne 장학금에 대한 자격을 결정하고 상을 산정하는 데 있어 중요한 부분이다.
