테슬라, 북미, 중국서 가격 인하

CNBC는 테슬라가 캘리포니아주 프리몬트 공장의 생산 재개를 맞아 가격 인하를 실시한다고 보도했다. 대상 국가는 북미와 중국이다.

이번 가격 인하는 코로나19로 인해 위축된 수요에서 나온 전략으로 보인다. 구체적으로 정확한 인하폭과 인하 시기는 아직 밝혀지지 않았다.

웹 사이트에 따르면 테슬라는 모델 S 가격의 시작 가격을 7만 4990달러로, 모델 X의 시작 가격을 7만 9990달러로 측정할 예정이다. 가장 저렴한 모델인 모델 3의 가격은 3만 7990달러로 측정될 예정이다.

덧붙여, 테슬라는 북미지역 가격 조정 이후, 중국 시장에서도 가격 인하를 시행할 것이라고 전했다.

테슬라 차이나는 웨이보를 통해 수입종인 모델 S와 모델 X 차량의 경우, 가격을 인하할 것이지만, 현지에서 생산한 모델 3 차량의 가격은 그대로 유지할 것이라고 밝혔다.

Tesla said on Wednesday it will cut prices of its electric vehicles in North America as the firm ramps up car production at its Fremont, California, factory after the easing of coronavirus lockdowns.

The price cut comes as states after lockdowns during which demand for cars waned.

It was not immediately clear by how much Tesla was cutting its prices or when the cuts would take effect.

The company’s Model S sedans will now be priced from $74,990, and its Model X sport utility vehicles from $79,990, according to its website. The cheapest Model 3 sedan will be priced at $37,990, the website said.

Tesla said it will also cut prices in China, the company’s usual practice after price adjustments in the United States.

Tesla China said in a Weibo post it will cut prices for the Model S and Model X cars it imports, but keep prices of locally-made Model 3 cars unchanged.
