"Don't do that. No,"
he said, rather weakly.
"What's wrong with you? How could you want this even after you went through such a terrible thing?"
"That's why I want you. You can never know how dreadful it felt. Those bastards in my body . . . You can drive them from me. Don't push me away, please. I know you're a married man, but I'm not doing this to take you away from your wife. Let me forget them through you, I don't need any medical care or help from any authority but you,"
she sobbed.
"I have loved you since I met you. My love never has stopped no matter what has happened."
He didn't move. Whether what she said was true or false, she'd definitely went through an awful experience. To cure that injury made by another man in this way was such a weird idea to him. She is not right in the mind, he thought. Moreover, he couldn't cast away Cynthia's faith in him.
"You'd better relax yourself. Tell me whenever you need a doctor. I will be here. Now, go, leave me alone."
He stood up and guided Violet―actually pushing her out―toward the door. She tried to stay, but had no choice but to leave as she saw Alexander blocking the door.
After she left, he laid down on the bed again. His body still remembered the feeling of Violet's body. He shook his head. He couldn’t easily fall asleep this time. To soundly sleep with Violet who had suffered so much was almost impossible. He couldn't help trying to listen to her movements. To make sure she didn't do anything silly, for example, self-injury.
I should send her to a proper institution, he thought. At that moment, he got a message from Cynthia.
<I made a call to Ed. He knew nothing about Violet, at all. He drove her out about a month ago after breaking up completely, and never had any contact with her since. I think, according to the way he's speaking, he is not lying at least.>
<Then what the hell happened to her?>
he was stunned.
<I don't trust any of them until I get proof. Can you persuade her to formally report what happened to her? We'll investigate, and get to the bottom of this case.>
<I'll try, You should sleep honey, It's 2 a.m>
He replied and grinned seeing the heart she sent back to him.
All he could do without Violet’s statement was analyze whether the video was forged or not, and to figure out the user of the number from which those messages were sent.
The next day, he went to Ethan to request assistance in ascertaining the authenticity of those videos, and a few days later, it turned out that the videos weren't fake.
