He watched the second video again. She was unconscious, screaming, crying. There was no awkwardness in her actions. It was too natural to doubt anything of its reliability.
None of them used a condom and according to the video they just ejaculated inside of her. Therefore, unless she had taken pills, Violet was in serious danger of becoming pregnant. This was a seriously brutal assault. So far, he wasn't succeeding in calming her enough to get her to come forward.
He decided to persuade her again to go to the doctor, for collecting DNA or to prevent pregnancy, and to report the case at the very least. He knocked at the door of her room. After a minute, she opened the door.
"I need to talk to you,”
he said.
She didn't answer.
"My wife will back in a few days. I cannot let you to stay forever, you know. What do you want to do going forward?"
"When exactly?"
she asked this time.
"When?"
"When does your wife come back?"
"I can't tell. It depends."
"I don't feel good. I know that I should visit the doctor shortly."
"Don't you want to punish those rapists?"
"I want to, but you already read the message they sent me! They will spread the video online! I would rather die if that happens. I can't. I don't know what to do."
"We offer all kinds of protection for victims, and we can do that for you. If you need any help, you should tell us."
"Don't force me. you don't know how dreadful this is,"
she lowered her head. Alexander swept his hair up.
"Where would you go once you leave this place?"
"I haven't thought about it."
"You'd better go to see a doctor at least, in my opinion. I cannot force you, but I have to remind you of this again. You cannot stay here without doing anything."
The way he said this was cold. He turned back to get out of the room. Abruptly, Violet knelt down on the floor, and grabbed his leg. Alexander was surprised.
"Alex, would you forgive me for what I'd done to you before? I know I was wrong. You tolerated me for such a long time and I should have been thankful for that. I know now. You are the only person whom I can truly love. Maybe it`s too late, but I beg for your forgiveness. I'm serious,"
Her voice was shuddering, and tears flew continuously. He said nothing.
