"I'll take it,"
interrupted Alexander, without thinking.
The next moment, it occurred to him that he had certain benefits he could rely on. He hurriedly spoke about Arsh to the staff member. There was a slightly astonished expression on her face. They ran together hastily to the ticketing counter. After a few quick steps, she swiped his card, canceled the previous ticket, and booked him a new flight. He didn't pay for anything, and right after he checked his baggage, he made his way to the security checkpoint.
As he made his way through security, he wondered where she was. Was she waiting for him now? Was she expecting him as if she were expecting a strange dream to manifest into reality? He was going somewhere unfamiliar, where he didn't understand the language, culture, or even where he was supposed to go.
Moreover, he was not exactly sure what to make of Natalie herself, much less a company which just decided to hire him with only Natalie's recommendation. All of these happenings might seem ridiculous, even absurd. But he decided to follow his heart. Do not abandon by fear that which, though not entirely understood, carries promises for the future. His intuition just knew he was making the right choice. The only choice.
He sipped a cup of coffee while he waited. Several airplanes were visible taxiing on the runway. They were taking off and landing, coming and going.
He remembered traveling alone by train for the first time in his life when he was a kid. It was probably to visit his friend. His present mood was very similar to that time of excited, a slightly nervous, whimsy.
As he drank his coffee, he wrote a new line of text in his notebook with a smile on his face.
