Why Do Koreans feel English is difficult.

English is a global language. Many people want good English skills to live and work. But English is not an easy language for many Koreans. Many Koreans invest much time during a lifetime for learning English. But yet, they feel difficult for learning English. And When they have the first job, they give up learning English. Finally, they escape from the jail of learning English. As all the learning process is very similar, English learning doesn't have an age limitation. But Some Koreans are scared of learning English throughout their lifetime. I think that reason for this situation is the English exam. In past, Koreans usually met English as an Exam at school. English was the first foreign language in their life. And They needed a good score on the English exam. Always They felt the tension and were scared during learning English. In this process, they're brainwashed that English is not a useful language for life but just an exam. I think that this experience affected the Korean's attitude of learning English.

However, recently many young Koreans and their parents know a better way of learning English. For example, Some of them are studying abroad for English from an early age. This experience help them for getting their new job after they grow up (/have finished their education). I frequently met Koreans that are good at English in the company. This was a good experience for me. Someday I want to communicate in English freely/fluently with my daughter and wife. And in the far future, I want to be an author who writes in English.
