Clocks have turned again in our sleep. The sun sets at siesta and I’m forced to take up a nightly contemplative mode of life.

They blocked the Warschauer Brücke & a few people scuffling with gloomy-faced policemen to get to the other side. What happens to the mall on the bridge then? Remembered there was a Starbucks in Alexanderplatz which I’d never been to and it turns out is actually quite pleasant despite the seemingly unending current of people coming and going & told K “it’s very spacious with enough distance between tables so you can not pay attention to other people’s businesses, that airy surplus room which brews indifference and which most European cafes lack.”

It was a great work environment and I managed to draft the itineraries for the January travel and book the flights & some hotels.

A glass of gin and tonic with Michela at Hackbarth’s around 7. Talk about work, Barcelona and some shady bars with darkrooms in the basement where people can have sex.

11.30 p.m. S drops by for a quick Ben & Jerry’s.
