Crêpes for late breakfast with S then walk to Ostkreuz to see him off. Lieblings will stay closed until Tuesday which is a letdown - had to switch to Tasso where it’s usually more distracting and less snug. A couple with a smartly foldable map of Berlin next to me waited almost an hour for their food, gnocchi and seabass I think. Despite the smell a few hours of reading there did me good, although half the time I was looking out the window brooding on things like my plan to plan the coming travels, Woody Allen’s movie on that old-style Parisian Bohemia, Baudelaire’s short (and beautiful) prose on the moon of which was reminded by what Hockney said about the intertwining red and blues lines in the nude drawing of Rembrandt, where to get a pumpkin, etc etc. At about half past four I came back home to change and go for a walk with little music. Saw two kids and a teenager (or maybe a bit older) playing ball in a dried-up fountain of Weberwiese. The kids looked like twins and I wondered if they were related to the older boy with the different colour. When their grandma called them back the teenager, who apparently was just a stranger being a good sport bid them goodbye with a cool wave of a hand and left swiftly.

6-minute carbonara with an episode of After Life then a crack at selecting/editing the photos. Resuming this project owes to reading Hockney: what I lack at the moment is creative work as well as a routine - so six images per day is the plan.
