Abusing the small freedom of home office. Great lunch at Father Carpenter - truly the best sandwich I had in years with scamorza and aubergine (I salute you the king of vegetables!), then we made a circle looking in some shops, mostly home goods. A lot of exaggerated Christmas decorations with commercial characters or objects that have nothing to do with the occasion. But we did buy a mini living tree which is as small as my spread hand tagged ‘der kleinste Weinachtsbaum der Welt.’ This adorable Bäumchen was then planted in the biggest pot I have in which the abundant but short-lived umbrella tree once stood, to enhance its contrasting cuteness. When I hung the onigiri Santa on it as a sole decoration, it was barely the ornament’s double in size. After so many leisurely working hours I felt a little ashamed and sat at my laptop & did manage to whip up some options before 7. At 8 a quick drink with Z at a new bar I found called Sharlie Cheen. I had a cocktail with vodka, cold brew and vanilla liqueur. Talk about some projects, working with different partners, salaries, professional engagements etc... and the sense of justice & comradery opposing the office regime - which I don’t particularly possess.
