개역개정 에스겔 38장
16. 구름이 땅을 덮음 같이 내 백성 이스라엘을 치러 오리라 곡이 끝 날에 내가 너를 이끌어다가 내 땅을 치게 하리니 이는 내가 너로 말미암아 이방 사람의 눈앞에서 내 거룩함을 나타내어 그들이 다 나를 알게 하려 함이라
And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know me, when I shall b

9. 이스라엘 성읍들에 거주하는 자가 나가서 그들의 무기를 불태워 사르되 큰 방패와 작은 방패와 활과 화살과 몽둥이와 창을 가지고 일곱 해 동안 불태우리라
And they that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years:
11. 그날에 내가 곡을 위하여 이스라엘 땅 곧 바다 동쪽 사람이 통행하는 골짜기를 매장지로 주리니 통행하던 길이 막힐 것이라 사람이 거기에서 곡과 그 모든 무리를 매장하고 그 이름을 하몬곡의 골짜기라 일컬으리라
And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] I will give unto Gog a place there of graves in Israel, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the [noses] of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call [it] The valley of Hamongog.
12. 이스라엘 족속이 일곱 달 동안에 그들을 매장하여 그 땅을 정결하게 할 것이라
And seven months shall the house of Israel be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land.e sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their eyes.
17. ○주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내가 옛적에 내 종 이스라엘 선지자들을 통하여 말한 사람이 네가 아니냐 그들이 그때에 여러 해 동안 예언하기를 내가 너를 이끌어다가 그들을 치게 하리라
Thus saith the Lord GOD; [Art] thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days [many] years that I would bring thee against them?
18. 그날에 곡이 이스라엘 땅을 치러 오면 내 노여움이 내 얼굴에 나타나리라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라
And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, [that] my fury shall come up in my face.
19. 내가 질투와 맹렬한 노여움으로 말하였거니와 그날에 큰 지진이 이스라엘 땅에 일어나서
For in my jealousy [and] in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel;
20. 바다의 고기들과 공중의 새들과 들의 짐승들과 땅에 기는 모든 벌레와 지면에 있는 모든 사람이 내 앞에서 떨 것이며 모든 산이 무너지며 절벽이 떨어지며 모든 성벽이 땅에 무너지리라
So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that [are] upon the face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
21. 주 여호와의 말씀이니라 내가 내 모든 산 중에서 그를 칠 칼을 부르리니 각 사람이 칼로 그 형제를 칠 것이며
And I will call for a sword against him throughout all my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every mans sword shall be against his brother.
22. 내가 또 전염병과 피로 그를 심판하며 쏟아지는 폭우와 큰 우박덩이와 불과 유황으로 그와 그 모든 무리와 그와 함께 있는 많은 백성에게 비를 내리듯 하리라
And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that [are] with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
23. 이같이 내가 여러 나라의 눈에 내 위대함과 내 거룩함을 나타내어 나를 알게 하리니 내가 여호와인 줄을 그들이 알리라
Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I [am] the LORD.

우리에게 남아있는 또 다른 전쟁예언은 에스겔 38장에서 39절에 기록되어 있다.
이스라엘과 러시아 전쟁
말씀을 통해 추론할 수 있는 것은 큰 규모의 전쟁이라는 것이다
시체만 매장하는 데에 7달이 걸리고
전쟁에 사용된 모든 무기들을 불태우는데만 7년이 걸린다고 기록되어 있다
우리가 앞으로 살아갈 세상은
지난 30년 동안 누린 풍요와 안정에서
재앙과 전염병과 전쟁으로 이동한다
우리 세대는 지금까지 겪어보지 못한 전쟁의 소용돌이 중심에 앞으로 들어가지만
많은 사람들이 아직도
말씀을 통해 이 예언을 알지도 깨닫지도 못하고 있다
우리가 살아갈 세상은
최첨단 기술문명으로 편리함아래 놓이지만
강대국 간의 힘겨루기 싸움판에
최첨단 기술장비로 전쟁도 아울러 준비되는 아이러니한 세상 속으로 같이 들어가고 있는 중이다
우리는 깨어있어야 한다
어느 날 신문과 뉴스에서 또 다른 이스라엘을 둘러싼 전쟁소식이 헤드라인으로 도배되어
보고 듣는다면
7년 평화협정의 시기가 다가오고 있다는 것을
성경의 말씀대로 적그리스도체제 정부가 세워지는 것의 징조를 바로 알아듣는 마음과 태도로
깨어있어야 한다
이제부터 재난의 시작이라는 마태복음 24장 말씀을 꼭 기억하며
우리는 깨어있어야 한다
