24. 그러므로 누구든지 나의 이 말을 듣고 행하는 자는 그 집을 반석 위에 지은 지혜로운 사람 같으리니
24. “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
26. 나의 이 말을 듣고 행치 아니하는 자는 그 집을 모래 위에 지은 어리석은 사람 같으리니
26. But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand.
27. 비가 내리고 창수가 나고 바람이 불어 그 집에 부딪히매 무너져 그 무너짐이 심하니라
27. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
The foundation of a house built on the rock must be Jesus. However, there are too many so-called Christians who do not shine the light of the truth, rather darkening the surroundings, though they tell themselves Christians. Sadly, I could be one of them, if I do not put the teaching of God into practice. In a word, if I do not love my neighbors, I am not called a wise man, because the first and foremost commandment of God is loving my neighbors. If I do not love my neighbors, how I could say that I love God who is not seen, which is been told through Jesus.
Then, am I a wise man or a foolish man? I thought that I was the one who is wise, but I was a foolish man, because I looked like a house whose windows were broken and scattered, due to a little bit of rain and wind for a couple of days.
I am not saying about my faith toward Jesus, but it was about personal relationships, the identities of Christians and human nature.
Thankfully, I got to know for sure that it was because of my house, in other word, my wrong ego that is disguised with a face of a righteous and wise man. Living in a cozy and safe apartment that is built of concrete, I was shaken back and forth in a little wind. What a foolish man I was!.
From now on, I will try make it anew with the help of the Holy Spirit, so that I could bear good fruits during 4 seasons, by putting it into practice. It means my behaviors of loving, caring, enduring, praying and blessing. This is my starting point of being a wise man before my heavenly Father, and this must be His will and His blessing as well.
