25. 그 제자들이 나아와 깨우며 가로되 주여 구원하소서 우리가 죽겠나이다
25. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26. 예수께서 이르시되 어찌하여 무서워하느냐 믿음이 적은 자들아 하시고 곧 일어나사 바람과 바다를 꾸짖으신대 아주 잔잔하게 되거늘
26. He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
Without faith, no one could make God pleased. What a clear and simple message of God and it warns and encourages me at the same time.
When I hear the sound of wind and see the storms coming without any anticipation and any readiness, l oftentimes feel puzzled, disappointed or frustrated, so I fall downcast and almost fainted. Then, I used to hear this message from inside of my heart, "You of little faith!"
My Father wants me to walk through the seas without seeing any surroundings or hearing any hindrance, only looking at Him and holding Him by the big, warm, and safe hand.
There are many people who are going through these kinds of storms in life. I hope that they call on the name of Jesus, the Savior, and they trust God, the Father, who loves us unconditionally, and they depend on the Holy Spirit who helps and comforts us with unexpressible peace and extravagant joy.
I pray in Jesus name that we all humans overpower the crisis of life and win over these big or small problems in life, with faith and endurance. We need to see the identity and essence of them, like the two demon-possessed men who were violent.
