마태복음(Mat) 25장
31. 인자가 자기 영광으로 모든 천사와 함께 올 때에 자기 영광의 보좌에 앉으리니
31. “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne.
32. 모든 민족을 그 앞에 모으고 각각 분별하기를 목자가 양과 염소를 분별하는 것 같이 하여
32. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
33. 양은 그 오른편에, 염소는 왼편에 두리라
33. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
45. 이에 임금이 대답하여 가라사대 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 이 지극히 작은 자 하나에게 하지 아니한 것이 곧 내게 하지 아니한 것이니라 하시리니
45. “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
46. 저희는 영벌에, 의인들은 영생에 들어가리라 하시니라
46. “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”
In His time, He will separate sheep from goats, and then, according to His conviction, they would go to eternal punishment or to eternal life. He looks very strict and the results of it looks very miserable, and the standard of it doesn't make sense. How could caring for the poor, sick, and persecuted be one of the measures of His judgment?
The righteous in the bible walked with God by faith, but He also wants them to make His love manifest in really and it doesn't look so hard for me to do. Because He doesn't ask me to do any thing hard or challenges, i am sure that I can do that and i used to do it, but it oftentimes moves back from my priorities in a daily life.
What is walking with God and how could I do live like that? This seemed very challenging to me, because I have a sinful nature and i am still selfish. However, my generous Father knows me more than I do, and He gave me a little mission of doing good. One thing for good. Every day, I try to do something good for others and for my community.
I am not sure that these behaviors and determinations of doing one thing a day could be considered good to Him, but this is the only thing I can do today. What will I do today?
