24. 빌라도가 아무 효험도 없이 도리어 민란이 나려는 것을 보고 물을 가져다가 무리 앞에서 손을 씻으며 가로되 이 사람의 피에 대하여 나는 무죄하니 너희가 당하라
24. When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. “I am innocent of this man’s blood,” he said. “It is your responsibility!”
25. 백성이 다 대답하여 가로되 그 피를 우리와 우리 자손에게 돌릴찌어다 하거늘
25. All the people answered, “His blood is on us and on our children!”
How dreadful and interesting the crowd who don't know one another could be changed like this, and this kind of events happen in many places around the world. Some experts study about this kind of mob psychology and it seems to go on with any ignorance and any self-interest, and envy and jealousy as well.
However, this kind of event is predestined in God's plan for the sake of all mankind, even though they don't even think what could come after that, and they didn't expect anything bad for that at the very moment of shouting, "Blood (Curses) on us and on our children!"
I have seen and realized that this kind of terrible and unreasonable thing could have happened in my society and it could happen again and again throughout the history, so I need to be awaken all the time. In particular, some of the evil men disguised as good politians should be carefully watched out by people, the crowd. Otherwise, my country could be at stake and on the line. Also, spiritually I could face any risks of losing faith and hope for His kingdom, which is the very good thing for satans to wish and work for.
In conclusion, I need to learn from the Israelites and be awake in the Holy Spirit and a good knowledge and judgment, staying pure in my heart.
