7. 의논한 후 이것으로 토기장이의 밭을 사서 나그네의 묘지를 삼았으니
7. So they decided to use the money to buy the potter’s field as a burial place for foreigners.
8. 그러므로 오늘날까지 그 밭을 피밭이라 일컫느니라
8. That is why it has been called the Field of Blood to this day.
9. 이에 선지자 예레미야로 하신 말씀이 이루었나니 일렀으되 저희가 그 정가 된 자 곧 이스라엘 자손 중에서 정가한 자의 가격 곧 은 삼십을 가지고
9. Then what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: “They took the thirty pieces of silver, the price set on him by the people of Israel,
10. 토기장이의 밭 값으로 주었으니 이는 주께서 내게 명하신 바와 같으니라 하였더라
10. and they used them to buy the potter’s field, as the Lord commanded me.”
Jesus was sold at the price of 30 silver coins and the price set on Him by Judas and the people of Israel, is almost the same as the price of one cow.
Judas committed the most terrible sin by betraying Jesus and making Him bleed innocent blood, and his destiny ends with remorse, curses and suicide. Was it impossible for him to stop the worst betrayal beforehand or was not there any chance of confessing his sins even after he returned the money back to the priest? If he had became the true believer of Jesus as the son of God, he would and could have been forgiven by God, but sadly he wasn't.
These days, the grandson of former president, Jean Doo-whan, came out on U-tub, and he keeps broadcating about his own sins and his family's publicly and he also visited the city, Kwang Joo, the hot and terrible place in Korean history and he asked for forgiveness of his grandfather's crime after 5days' fasting. His testimony and his live broadcasting is so impressive that I feel like we Christians including me should learn by his honest words and kind attitude and smart answers. I mean, he intends and tries to show his sinful life without hiding, so, as he said, he wants not to be ashamed before God.
In reality, I don't think that he was that sinful man compared to others, rather he looks like he had a pure heart, a dew-like young man. If Judas were here in this time, he had to learn from him and get saved, forgiven, and even get honored from people and God.
