마태복음(Mat) 26장

39. 조금 나아가사 얼굴을 땅에 대시고 엎드려 기도하여 가라사대 내 아버지여 만일 할만하시거든 이 잔을 내게서 지나가게 하옵소서 그러나 나의 원대로 마옵시고 아버지의 원대로 하옵소서 하시고

39. Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will.”

41. 시험에 들지 않게 깨어 있어 기도하라 마음에는 원이로되 육신이 약하도다 하시고

41. “Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

42. 다시 두번째 나아가 기도하여 가라사대 내 아버지여 만일 내가 마시지 않고는 이 잔이 내게서 지나갈 수 없거든 아버지의 원대로 되기를 원하나이다 하시고

42. He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”

45. 이에 제자들에게 오사 이르시되 이제는 자고 쉬라 보라 때가 가까왔으니 인자가 죄인의 손에 팔리우느니라

45. Then he returned to the disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour has come, and the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners.

46. 일어나라 함께 가자 보라 나를 파는 자가 가까이 왔느니라

46. Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!”

Jesus' 3 times of sorrowful and sincere prayer reminds me of the Lord's prayer that He had taught His disciples. Quote, "Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven... and lesd us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one."

He just didn't tell it in the air without any hope or assurance, rather He eagerly wished it happen in reality at the moment of death and it came true by His complete obedience of crucifixion and the acceptance of being betrayed into the hands of sinners.

The spirit is willing but the body is weak. This sentence is mostly used like a saying and an excuse of not doing something good or staying in the place of sins by entertaining sins. However, I think that it shouldn't be used when I am deep into temptation. At least I need to pray for my souls to be delivered by the evil one.

Keeping watch with Him for an hour is absolutely necessary and it seems mendatary for me to go through this wicked generation and this 1 hour QT is becoming my spiritual food. Without eating it or whenever I skip my meal, I feel hungry and tired, or feel powerless, so I make it a rule of eating it once a day like eating one meal a day.
