1. 형제들아 내 마음에 원하는 바와 하나님께 구하는 바는 이스라엘을 위함이니 곧 그들로 구원을 받게 함이라
1. Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved.
2. 내가 증언하노니 그들이 하나님께 열심이 있으나 올바른 지식을 따른 것이 아니니라
2. For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge.
3. 하나님의 의를 모르고 자기 의를 세우려고 힘써 하나님의 의에 복종하지 아니하였느니라
3. Since they did not know the righteousness of God and sought to establish their own, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.
4. 그리스도는 모든 믿는 자에게 의를 이루기 위하여 율법의 마침이 되시니라
4. Christ is the culmination (end) of the law so that there may be righteousness for everyone who believes.
I still seem to stumble over the stumbling stone, the law of God, and often fall down, although I can surely say that i live in the Holy Spirit that was given to me by the faith of Jesus.
Accordingly, I am still living in the law that keeps me chained as a slave of sins. What an awful thing it is!
However, I experience of making these kinds of mistakes and wrong judgments on a daily basis. In particular, in case I have tried to do goods for somone whom I love and care much, it becomes my own righteousness and it makes me fall down in trial.
What is the righteousness of God? It is the zero-sin state, a perfect pure and goldy heart, which no men can have, so no one is possible to submit to it completely.
Yet, Christ is the end of the law that would never make me righteous at all, so there is hope of being called righteous before Him. By faith, it is possible and this is the most blessing that humans can get, and it is only by grace of God. Therefore, there is no turning back, to the law, only holding on to the faith and the grace, and love and forgiveness, let me keep running for the goal of Jesus-like life, how hard it is and how often I fall down on the road of faith. Amen.
