30 Everyone who saw it was saying to one another, “Such a thing has never been seen or done, not since the day the Israelites came up out of Egypt. Just imagine! We must do something! So speak up!”
Judges continually show how corrupt and wicked the Israelites were living without the King, the Lord. And it reminds me of the same scene like Sodom and Gomorrah, where people were sexually mixed and abusing women or men. Even the Levite who should have been dedicated to God didn't know how to live a holy life and lead the people with the Word of God, until his own concubine was abused and killed. He didn't realize his own sins of eating, drinking, and making love with his woman, in the name of love, without noticing the time of tragedy coming soon.
Humans could be cruel like the men in here, and I see the same people as murdering terribly and sexually attacking women or men, as if there were no the Word of God, which could be the rules of life and make a boundary of a sinful nature. However, there was and is the Word of God, and will be, but it is me and ourselves who forget His presence and do not care for Him, just living according to my sinful nature and to my desire, which is not righteous or just itself.
What should I do in this corrupt generation? As Jesus already exclaimed, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near!" 2000 years ago, so should I confess my sins and believe God, because his judgment is surely coming soon.

Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written on it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
