또한 김주애가 군사적으로 탁월하며, 상당히 가부장적인 북한 사회에서 여성 후계자에 대한 의구심을 해소하기 위한 의도로 보인다고 덧붙임
North Korean state media released footage of Kim Ju-ae(~13-year-old), daughter of the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-un(42-year-old), driving a tank during military training.
Kim Ju-ae first became known in 2013 when NBA star Dennis Rodman mentioned her during his visit to North Korea, and she has appeared in public multiple times since participating in an official event for the first time during the 2022 intercontinental ballistic missile test launch.
South Korea's spy agency stated that the release of these tank photo/video suggest Kim Ju-ae has been designated as Kim Jong-un's successor.
It added that the photo/video seemed to be “an intent to highlight Ju-ae’s military exceptionality” and “dilute skepticism of a female heir" in North Korea’s deeply patriarchal society.
