Nuclear power is gaining bipartisan support in the U.S. because it can meet the growing power demands of data centers, does not emit greenhouse gases, and can generate electricity continuously unlike renewable energy.
Unlike conventional reactors that boil water via nuclear fission to drive turbines with steam, TerraPower's liquid sodium works at low pressures, reducing shielding costs and allowing flexible adjustment of power output.
