спасибо, Россия

Thanks, Russia

I entered to Tallinn, Estonia in 8th August. It means that I can’t use a few Russians words (that I learned on the road), rubles, also Russian SIM card anymore. And the price of everything is getting higher than Russia including gasoline.

By the way, I just planned to cross Russia around 4 weeks, but stayed there in almost 7 weeks (actually I can stay up to 60 days without visa) because I really loved this country (or continent). I met so many gentle Siberian riders on the road, good locals in the city and they’re always trying to help me, curious about my journey, regarding me as a friend.

Don’t know how to express my gratitude, but want to say that I still miss you and hope to meet again. Even Russia still attacked by media based on Europe or America, it’s just especially for the government, not for all the Russians. ‘Russians have a good soul, but bad reputations’ said Yana Jan-sha before, and I fully agree with her.

If you plan to visit Russia, please don’t be afraid and throw your any prejudice away taken from media. Just be yourself gently and they’ll be your friend. Fear will be turned out to faith. (9th Aug, 2015)
