The KOSPI opened higher, tracking gains in overseas markets late last week and supported by growing expectations for a U.S. rate cut in December. However, the index reversed course to close lower as foreign selling widened in financial stocks amid weakness in the Korean won.
KOSDAQ — 2일 연속 하락

• 외국인·기관 동반 매도 유입 하락 마감
The KOSDAQ also ended lower as foreign and institutional selling increased in pharmaceutical stocks, despite the Nasdaq’s rise late last week.
