Hello, there! My name is Michelle, and I am excited about joining the Brunch community!

When my friend Miyang asked if I would be interested in sharing a Brunch page together, I happily said yes. Miyang is someone who engages with those around her in a mutual sharing of stories, possibilities, hope, and life, and she treats all people with respect regardless of their age or the various aspects of their background. These are just some of the reasons why I am so happy to be collaborating together here.
나의 친구 미양이 함께 브런치를 해보지 않겠냐고 했을 때 기꺼이 좋다고 했습니다. 미양은 주변 사람들을 스토리와 가능성과 희망과 삶을 공유하도록 이끌고, 모든 사람들을 대할 때 나이와 다양한 배경에 상관없이 존중할 줄 아는 사람입니다. 그것이 내가 여기에서 아주 기꺼이 공동작업을 하려고 하는 이유 중의 일부입니다.
I also love the vision of Brunch of giving people a chance to share their writing—to share their thoughts, emotions, and spirit in beautiful creations that allow us to explore our creativity and imagination.
그리고 사람들에게 자신의 글을 공유할 기회를 주겠다는 브런치의 비전이 정말 좋습니다. 그 기회는 사람들이 아름다운 창작을 통하여 자신의 창의성과 상상력을 탐색하게 하고, 이러한 창작을 통하여 자신의 생각과 느낌과 정신을 다른 사람들과 나누게 해 준다고 생각합니다.
As I join the community, I bring with me so many interests, but especially these: Exploring hope, exploring our relationships with others including people and all of nature, and exploring how we can work together to heal ourselves and honour life through these times of great change and uncertainty in our world.
브런치 커뮤니티로 나는 나의 많은 관심사들을 안고 들어올 것입니다. 특히 희망을 탐색하고, 다른 사람들과의 관계와 자연과 인류와의 관계를 탐색하고, 커다란 변혁과 불확실성의 시대에 우리 자신을 치유하고 생명을 존중하기 위하여 우리가 어떻게 공조할 수 있는지 탐색할 것입니다.
I like the view that sees everyone as being on a shared journey that is an end in itself; in other words, the journey is the goal. Within our shared journey are our own journeys, crisscrossing, orbiting, running parallel, blending, and more.
함께하는 여정 그 자체가 목적이 되어야 하고, 모든 사람이 그 여정 중에 있다는 관점을 좋아합니다. 그러니까 그 여정이 목표인 것입니다. 우리가 함께하는 여정에는 우리 자신의 여정, 가다가 마주치기, 주변에서 머물기, 함께 달리기, 서로 섞이기를 비롯하여 많은 것들이 일어납니다.
Within this view of a shared journey, I am excited that our paths are crossing, excited to participate in respectful, thoughtful, and meaningful sharing of ideas, and excited to do so with you.
함께하는 여정이라는 관점 안에서 우리가 가는 길이 교차하고 있어서 신이 나며, 서로의 생각을 존중하는 태도로 사려 깊고 의미 있게 나누는데 참여할 수 있어서 신이 나며, 여러분과 이 일을 함께하게 되어 신이 납니다.
