이스라엘 언론 ‘네타냐후 트럼프 베팅’ 바라크 전 총리 ‘휴전해야’
이스라엘 언론 ‘하아레츠’가 ‘네타냐후 트럼프 당선 베팅’을 보도하고 일본 언론 요미우리가 바라크 전 총리와 인터뷰에서 ‘가자 휴전해야 헤즈볼라 전투 멈춘다’고 밝혔다.
‘하아레츠(Haaretz)’는 <이스라엘에 대한 헤즈볼라의 위협은 현재 이란의 위협보다 더 크다> 분석 기사에서 “네타냐후는 도널드 트럼프가 11월 대통령 선거에서 이길 것이라고 베팅하고 있는 것 같고 그가 미국인들이 가하는 압력을 극복할 수 있을 것이라고 확신하고 있다”며 “지금까지 그는 성공했고 총리는 몇 달째 인질 협상을 지연시키고 있으며, 바이든 행정부를 곤경에 빠뜨리기 위해 그는 전쟁을 연장하고 이스라엘 방위군을 파견하여 필라델피아 루트와 라파 일부를 점령했다”고 5일 밝혔다.

노동당으로 1999년부터 2001년까지 총리 역임하고 전 참모총장인 그를 요미우리가 7월 말 텔아비브에서 단독 회견했고, 그는 가자지구에서 10개월 동안 전투에 대해 "(군사적, 정치적) 지도부는 전략이 없고 전쟁의 목적은 전혀 달성되지 않았다"며 전투의 "즉각적인 중단"을 촉구했다.

Israeli media Haaretz reported ‘Netanyahu bets on Trump’s victory’, and Japanese media Yomiuri said in an interview with former Prime Minister Barak, ‘Gaza ceasefire will stop Hezbollah fighting’.
In an analysis article titled <Hezbollah’s threat to Israel is now greater than Iran’s>, Haaretz stated, “Netanyahu seems to be betting that Donald Trump will win the November presidential election and is confident that he can overcome the pressure from the Americans,” and “So far, he has been successful, and the prime minister has been delaying hostage negotiations for months, and in order to embarrass the Biden administration, he has extended the war and sent the Israel Defense Forces to occupy the Philadelphia Route and part of Rafah.”
Haaretz continued, “Biden has already concluded that Netanyahu is deliberately delaying the negotiations and has no intention of completing them,” and analyzed the reason for the heightened tensions, saying, “The heads of the Israeli defense establishment also seem to have reached this conclusion, and they have lost hope for imminent progress in the talks, partly due to the heightened tensions with Iran and Hezbollah.”
Haaretz continued, “The generosity of the United States, which was a direct extension of the delivery of weapons by air and sea in the early weeks of the war, stands in contrast to the ingratitude shown by the Israeli leadership,” and criticized the government’s war escalation strategy, saying, “It is no coincidence that US President Biden asked Prime Minister Netanyahu to ‘stop talking nonsense’ in his most recent phone call.”
The paper said that the danger of causing a conflict with Hezbollah was that “given that Iran and Hezbollah believe that Israel is responsible, they will try to act in a similar way,” and that “Israel will have to consider its response depending on the intensity of the destruction and the damage caused to other countries such as Lebanon, Iran, Iraq and Yemen, and the biggest risk is that the destruction and counterattack will escalate into a broader confrontation,” diagnosing that the vicious cycle of destruction with Hezbollah is more dangerous than an all-out war with Iran.
Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak (82) said in an interview with the Yomiuri that “wars rely on the large-scale mobilization of reserve forces and ‘usually’ end in a few weeks, and the long-term stationing of troops in the Gaza Strip is against Israel’s national interests,” and that regarding the ongoing battle between Israel and Hezbollah in the northern Lebanese border area, “if a ceasefire is reached in the Gaza Strip, the fighting is likely to stop, and neither side wants war,” the Yomiuri reported on the 6th.
He served as prime minister from 1999 to 2001 as a member of the Labor Party and was a former chief of staff. Yomiuri held an exclusive interview with him in Tel Aviv at the end of July, and he said about the 10-month battle in the Gaza Strip that “the (military and political) leadership has no strategy, and the war’s objectives have not been achieved at all,” and called for an “immediate cessation” of the fighting.

Bush and Prime Minister Yitzhak Shamir."
