권장관은 기자회견에서 화이자 백신에 대해 “3월24일 공급이 시작된 이후 지금까지 매주 정기적 공급되고 있다. 이번에 추가 구매계약이 체결됨에 따라 보다 안정적으로 코로나19 백신을 공급받을 수 있게 됐다”면서 “추가 구매도 지난 4월9일 제안하고 4월23일 어제 그 물량을 추가 구매 물량을 확정하고 오늘 계약이 체결됐다”고 비밀협상 진행 과정을 밝혔다.
