중국 유행 트럼프 권력자 4명 악마화 인공지능 이미지 생성

중국에서 새로 유행하는 새 악마(트롤) 소재에서 '트럼프 회장'과 '아이라이너 맨'은 쉬운 표적으로 등장했다.

트럼프 대통령에 대한 중국 온라인상의 조롱은 공산당 선동가들의 먹잇감이 되고 있으며 이는 자유주의적 성향의 중국인들에게서 트럼프의 정책에 대한 충격을 창의적으로 표현하는 것이라고 뉴욕타임스 칼럼이 24일 지적했다.

중국인들에게서 새로운 신세계로 등장한 ‘트럼프 행정부’의 악마화는 유튜버가 주도하고 있다.

시진핑 중국 국가주석에 대한 패러디 뮤직비디오를 제작하던 중국의 한 유튜버가 트럼프 대통령의 미국에 대한 비전을 풍자한 'The Song of MAGA'를 제작했다.

신장 위구르족에 대한 중국의 박해를 희화화하는 국수주의적 틱톡커는 JD 밴스 미 부통령이 아이라이너를 풀 드래그 패션으로 사용한 것을 조롱하는 동영상을 만들면서 밴스 부통령의 "중국 농민" 발언에 대한 사과를 요구했다.

The mockery of President Trump online in China is becoming prey to Communist Party agitators, and this is a creative way for liberal-minded Chinese people to express their shock at Trump's policies, a New York Times column pointed out on the 24th.

A Chinese YouTuber who was making a parody music video about Chinese President Xi Jinping has created 'The Song of MAGA', which satirizes President Trump's vision for America.

A nationalistic TikToker who trivializes China's persecution of the Uyghurs in Xinjiang has demanded an apology for Vice President JD Vance's remarks about "Chinese farmers" after making a video mocking him for wearing eyeliner in full drag.

Vice President JD Vance called Chinese people "farmers," prompting Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian to say at a press conference on Monday that "China's stance on China-US relations, economic and trade relations, has become very clear," adding that "it is shocking and sad to hear the vice president make such ignorant and rude remarks."

The New York Times reported that “a RedNote social media platform posted a video of President Trump admiring his own portrait at the Justice Department, along with a North Korean song, ‘The World Is Envying Us,’ which likens President Trump to dictator Kim Il Sung.” “United by their disdain for the Trump administration, Chinese Internet users have created an impressive collection of works with differing political views, and the images, videos, and music, mostly generated by artificial intelligence, mock American leaders for what they believe to be ridiculous and absurd policies and statements.”

This popular demonization (trolling) in China reflects a changing perception of China in the United States. Ironically, the Trump administration has provided a wealth of material for Chinese Communist Party propagandists. The New York Times reported that “it is easier than ever for China to take the moral high ground,” and that “more liberal Chinese are overcoming their initial shock at behavior reminiscent of their authoritarian government and applying their creativity to Washington.”

“I love America, but Trump has undermined our democracy and freedoms, and has tarnished our image on the world stage,” the creator of the “MAGA Song” wrote in a text message to the Times.

Based on China’s 1960s revolutionary song “We March on a Great Road,” the video features a current Chinese AI-generated image of Trump, Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Elon Musk holding small red books in front of a large red banner that reads “Serve the People.”

The lyrics of the revolutionary song, performed on YouTube, read:

The spirit is high and the momentum is strong every day/Chairman Trump chants “MAGA!” to bring America back. I swear to make it great. — Hurrah!>

In these videos, the four men are depicted marching in the style of the Red Guards during the Cultural Revolution, assembling iPhones, riding scooters like Chinese blue-collar workers, and picking tomatoes like Chinese farmers under the blazing sun.

The creator of the video, who declined to be identified for fear of retaliation, gave the four characters humble jobs that millions of Chinese people struggle to survive.

Trump’s character in the video is a cobbler.

Mr. Rubio’s, the US Secretary of State, is a street vendor selling steamed buns.

Mr. Vance’s, the US Vice President, sells produce.

Elon Musk works on construction sites and sits on the side of the road selling socks and toys.

Of all the trolls, Vance attracted the most brutal of the reverse. His “farmer” comments about Chinese people offended many Chinese people, and Vance was featured in a widely shared AI-generated video. The lookalike character is wearing a pink jacket, pink nails, hot pink lipstick, and eyeliner, and says in a female voice, “Sister, Hillbilly Brand Eyeliner, Made in China, Reliable Quality.”

Another video features a cartoon character saying, “Vice President Vance, I’m a Chinese farmer. Do you realize that your tariff policy will cause the price of your eyeliner to skyrocket?”

The Times reported that “there have been so many posts on the subject that Mr. Vance is now commonly known on the Chinese Internet as ‘Eyeliner Man.’”

President Trump has been mocked for expecting a call from his harassing Chinese President Xi Jinping to strike a trade deal.

In a widely shared AI-generated image, a character who looks like Trump is lying on a pink bed in a pastel-colored children’s bedroom, his face in his hands, staring at his smartphone, while a large, smiling portrait of the Chinese leader hangs on the wall behind him.

"Hahahaha, who would call you after a breakup?" said a Weibo user with an Internet address in the northwestern province of Gansu. "Trump, do you think you're filming a soap opera?" The New York Times said, “There is a reason why the Chinese mock these four powerful Americans,” adding, “President Trump imposed a 145% tariff on Chinese products, Mr. Vance called the Chinese ‘farmers,’ Mr. Rubio is a well-known China hawk, and Musk used his influence with Trump to take an official role in leading budget cuts at Voice of America and Radio Free Asia, whose programs have influenced generations of Chinese people.”

A federal judge in the United States blocked the Trump administration from dismantling the broadcasting channels on the 22nd, and Musk said he would reduce his government work to spend more time with his electric car company, Tesla.

He is “Baozi,” or bun. The bun was coined in the early days of his reign as a publicity stunt to visit a bun restaurant, “Mao II,” to promote some Maoist ideology.

Censorship Focus According to media outlet China Digital Times, China’s State Censorship Bureau banned more than 35,000 sensitive words and word combinations related to Xi in 2016. Less than three months later in 2020, social media platform RedNote compiled a list of 564 new sensitive words referring to Xi.

It’s much safer to mock Trump in China.

A vlogger named Chen Rui has become a national sensation for his Trump impersonations.

Mr. Chen, known colloquially as Mr. Chen, is known as the “Trump of China” for his furrowed eyebrows, pursed lips, tilted head, the way he opens and closes his arms when speaking, and his accent and English accent.

He recently gained international fame after appearing in a live-streaming session with YouTube influencer IShowSpeed from Chen’s hometown of Chongqing in southwestern China.

He was joined by Darren Watkins IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr., told me that he would like to visit the United States someday.

In his videos, he seems to enjoy showing off Chongqing and making food videos, but his popularity actually comes from his frequent use of well-known Trump expressions such as “You don’t have a card” and “You didn’t say ‘thank you’.”

In one video, he washes the dishes while speaking in English and tells his mother, “You don’t say thank you to me. You’d better be nice.” “Maybe I won’t do the dishes tomorrow. You don’t have a card.” He then repeats it in Chinese.

His mother then hits him with a bamboo stick and yells, “Do I have a card now?”
