김 전 센터장은 미-북 정보기관에 대해 “두 나라간 대북 정보 공유는 두 개의 다른 차원(two different level of intelligence cooperation)에서 이뤄진다”면서 “기술적ㆍ전술적 대북 정보 공유는 한미연합사에서 한미연합사령관인 미군 4성 장군과 부사령관인 한국군 4성 장군이 맡아 입수된 대북 정보를 긴밀 공유한다”고 밝히고 “국가적 차원의 정보는 두 나라 정보기관 사이에 공유된다”고 밝혔다.
