미국 국가부채가 30조100억달러에 이자비용이 향후 10년간 5조달러에 이르며 강경보수 체제로 사회주의 경제체제와의 대치가 커졌다.

미 의회예산처(CBO)는 2021 회계연도(2020년 10월∼2021년 9월) 재정적자 2조7700달러는 GDP) 12.4%이고, 지난해 회계연도 재정적자는 GDP 대비 15.0%로 1일 밝혔다.

피터슨재단은 금리인상에 따라 국가부채 이자 비용이 향후 10년 동안 5조 달러 초과로 전망했다고 미국의소리(VOA)가 2일 보도했다.

미 국가부채는 2017년 트럼프 대통령 행정부 초기 20조 달러에서 4년간 10조달러의 50% 급증하며 자본대국의 강경보수 체제를 강화했다.

미 국가부채는 2007년 12월 금융위기 당시 9조2천억 달러 규모였다.

미 공화당 체제에서 의회예산국(CBO)은 2019년 8월 21일 보고서로 "관세 포함한 무역장벽이 높아지면서 미국 경제가 둔화하고 가계소득이 감소하고 있다"고 진단했다.

트럼프 대통령은 루마니아 대통령과 공동기자회견에서 ‘비상조치 계획’으로 "연방준비제도이사회의 금리인하와 양적완화 보고 싶다"며 "자본소득세와 급여세를 검토하고 있다"고 공화당 감세정책에서 저금리와 통화확대의 경기부양 정책을 2019년 8월 20일 밝혔다.

보수주의 감세정책인 자본소득에 대한 물가연동제는 1년 이상 보유 주식·채권·부동산에 대한 매각세금을 물가인상률에 연동해 낮추고, 급여세 원천징수를 감세하는 것으로, 당시 10년에 걸쳐 1천억 달러 세금이 줄 것으로 예측했다.
공화당의 공격적 감세정책에 대해 미 민주당은 의회 승인없는 물가연동이 불법이고 단순 장기투자 혜택이라고 반격했다.

트럼프 행정부는 멕시코 국경장벽 건설과 군비증강으로 국제 긴장을 강화해, 공격적 감세전략이 의회 무력화 시켜 대외 개입전략이 강화됐던 레이거노믹스의 부활을 시도했다.

미 강경보수 체제는 재정적자 확대를 군수산업 확장과 중동 동유럽 한반도 군사옵션에 반미 사회주의정권 축출로 활용했다.
