해리슨 미 부통령이 쿼드 4국에서 인플레감축법IRA에 따른 전기차 공급 유통망 가동을 확인하고, ‘전기차 세제 혜택에 한국 우려 이해’로 IRA법체계 완비를 밝혔다.
백악관은 해리스 부통령이 한덕수 총리와 도쿄 회동에서 “두 사람이 인플레이션감축법에 따른 청정에너지 분야에 대한 역사적 투자 포함해 기후위기 대응 공동 협력에 대해 논의했다”며 “해리스 부통령이 전기차에 대한 법률상 세제혜택과 관련된 한국의 우려를 이해했음을 강조했고, 두 사람은 관련 법이 시행됨에 따라 협의를 지속해 나가기로 약속했다”고 보도자료로 27일 밝혔다.
백악관 보도자료는 호주 총리와의 회동에 대해 “두 사람은 자유롭고 개방된 인도태평양 증진 위한 공동 노력과 공동 비전 발전위해 ‘쿼드’ 통한 협력과 인도태평양 지역의 최근 상황에 대해 논의했다”며 “해리스 부통령은 바이든-해리스 정부가 인플레이션감축법 통해 이루고 있는 역사적 투자와 제조업, 혁신, 청정 기술, 좋은 일자리 창출 등을 위한 계속된 노력에 대해 강조했다”고 밝혔다.
일본 도요타 자동차가 올해안에 중국에 테슬라에 대응한 소형세단 전기차 판매를 시작한다고 로이터가 28일 보도했다.
도요타 전기차는 중국 배터리사 BYD와 공동 개발한 중국 전용 bZ3 세단으로 기존 전기차의 배터리보다 얇아 새로운 "Beyond Zero"(bZ) 배터리 전기자동차 (BEV) 시리즈의 두 번째 모델이다.
두께 부피가 절반으로 줄인 블레이드 배터리 사용의 도요타 bZ3 세단은 미국 테슬라 보다 30% 저렴한 20만위안($ 28,000) 판매 예정이며, 중국 톈진에서 bZ4X와 동일한 어셈블리에서 연간 3만대 생산체제이다.
토요타의 작은 세단인 bZ3의 구성은 얇은 리튬 철 인산염 (LFP) 블레이드 배터리 기술을 적용해, 기존 전기차의 블레이드 팩이 차 모듈 바닥에 평평하게 놓일 때 10cm(3.9 인치) 두께를 리튬 이온 팩보다 약 5cm 이상 더 얇게 구성했다고 로이터가 관계자를 인용 보도했다.
카멀라 해리스 부통령은 한덕수 총리와 회동 모두발언에서 “바이든 대통령과 윤석열 대통령 간의 중요하고 유익한 대화에 바로 뒤이어 이뤄진다(This is on the heels of the important conversation and a fruitful conversation that President Biden had with President Yoon)”며 “우리는 (미한) 관계를 진지하게 생각하고 있으며 위협에 직면했을 때 당신들과 함께 할 것”이라며 “많은 현안에서 우리는 함께 보조를 맞추고 있다”고 말했다고 미국의소리(VOA)가 보도했다.
미 교통부는 27일 미국 50개 주와 워싱턴DC, 미국령인 푸에르토리코에 이르는 12만700km (7500마일) 고속도로에 전기차 충전소 건설을 승인했다고 밝혔다.
미국 충전소는 고속도로에 80.5km(50마일)마다 한 개씩 설치하고, 전기차 4대 동시 충전 시설을 갖춘다.
바이든 미 대통령은 앞서 13일 IRA 통과 축하 행사에서 “미국 국민은 승리했고, 기후 변화를 부정하는 이들은 패배했다. 미국에서 만든 전기차에 최대 7500달러의 세액공제를 제공한다”며 “IRA로 우리는 미국 전역 고속도로에 50만개의 전기차 충전소 보유하게 되며 모든 것은 ‘미국산’이 된다. 이 법은 벌이가 좋은 일자리 창출하며 에너지 안보 증진할 것”이라고 11월 중간선거에서 민주당 치적으로 밝혔다.
쿼드 4국인 인도의 타타 모터스는 29일 티아고 해치백의 전기자동차로 티아고EV를 849,000루피($ 10,370)에 판매 시작했다고 로이터가 보도했다.
세계에서 네 번째로 큰 자동차 시장인 인도에서 판매되는 대부분의 자동차는 15,000 달러 미만이다.
타타의 세 번째 전기자동차인 티아고EV의 가장 저렴한 버전은 한 번 충전에 250km 주행하고 더 비싼 버전은 315km 범위를 제공한다.
중국의 가장 낮은 전기차는 32,800위안($ 4,525)이다.
기아차는 고성능전기차(Ev6)를 다음달 4일 출시하며 가격은 7200만원대이다.

Vice-President Harrison confirmed the operation of the electric vehicle supply distribution network in accordance with the Inflation Reduction Act IRA in the four quadrant countries and announced that the IRA system was completed by ‘understanding Korea’s concerns about the tax benefits of electric vehicles’.

Reuters reported on the 28th that Japan's Toyota Motor Company will start selling electric vehicles, a small sedan in response to Tesla, to China within this year.
The Toyota Electric Vehicle is the second model of the new "Beyond Zero" (bZ) battery electric vehicle (BEV) series, as it is thinner than the battery of existing electric vehicles and is a Chinese-exclusive bZ3 sedan jointly developed with Chinese battery company BYD.
The Toyota bZ3 sedan, powered by a blade-battery cut in half volume, will sell for 200,000 yuan ($28,000), 30% less than the US Tesla, and will produce 30,000 units per year in the same assembly as the bZ4X in Tianjin, China.
The configuration of Toyota's small sedan, the bZ3, applies thin lithium iron phosphate (LFP) blade battery technology, which makes the blade pack of a conventional electric vehicle 10 cm (3.9 in) thick when laid flat on the bottom of the car module, about 5 cm more than the lithium-ion pack. It was made thinner than that, Reuters reported, citing an official.
During both meetings with Prime Minister Han Duk-soo, Vice President Kamala Harris said, “This is on the heels of the important conversation and a fruitful conversation that President Biden had with President Yoon. "We take our relationship seriously and will stand with you when faced with threats," he said.
The U.S. Department of Transportation announced on the 27th that it has approved the construction of electric vehicle charging stations on the 12,700 km (7,500 mile) highway that leads to 50 US states, Washington DC, and Puerto Rico.
One charging station in the US will be installed every 80.5 km (50 miles) on highways, and it will be equipped with a charging facility for four electric vehicles at the same time.
"The American people have won, and those who deny climate change have lost," Biden said at a ceremony to celebrate the passage of the IRA.
“With the IRA, we will have 500,000 EV charging stations on highways across the United States, and everything will be ‘Made in the United States’. This law will create good-paying jobs and promote energy security,” he said in the November midterm elections as a Democrat.
India's Tata Motors, the fourth country in the quad, started selling the Thiago EV as an electric vehicle of the Thiago hatchback on the 29th for 849,000 rupees ($ 10,370), Reuters reported.
Most cars sold in India, the world's fourth-largest car market, cost less than $15,000.
The cheapest version of Tata's third electric vehicle, the Thiago EV, offers a range of 250 km on a single charge, while the more expensive version offers a range of 315 km.
