미국이 ‘미확인 비행 물체’로 공식 용어를 변경하고 중국과 ‘외무장관 회담’에 접근하고 있다.

미국 외교 소식통이 안토니 블링켄 미 국무장관이 이번 주부터 뮌헨안보회의에서 중국 왕이 외무부장과 ‘대면 회담’을 고려하고 있다고 로이터가 13일 보도했다.

백악관 NSC 존 F 커비 조정관은 3건의 격추 사건에 대해 “세 물체는 지상의 사람들에게 위험을 초래하지 않았고, 통신 신호 보내지 않았으며, 내부에 사람이 없었으며, 기동 또는 추진 능력이 없다”면서 “그들은 중국 스파이 풍선보다 훨씬 낮은 2만피트에서 4만피트 사이의 고도에서 비행했으며 민간항공 교통에 잠재적 위험 초래했다” 13일 발표했다.
