지구인들은 나를 이상한 눈으로 본다. 뭐라? 50대 중반에 모태솔로라고? 

하긴 지금까지 살아온 이야기를 하다보면 내가 들어도 조금 이상하긴 하다. 평생 제대로 된 정규직 한번 가져본 적도 없고, 프리랜서 번역일은 어딘가에 처박혀서 혼자 꼬물꼬물 일하고, 연애 한번 제대로 해본적이 없는데다 화려한 싱글답게 신나게 놀아본 적도 없고, 한국에서 유행하는 그 어떤 것에도 빠져본 적이 없어서, 찜질방에 가본 적도 없고 배달음식을 먹어본 적도 없으며 올해처럼 살인적인 더위가 판친 여름에도 '아아'대신 '뜨거운 아메리카노'를 마신다. 새벽 5시면 어김없이 일어나 헬스장에 가고, 밤 9시가 되면 새나라의 어른이답게 꿈나라로 가버린다. 

이런 라이프스타일을 가지게 된 이유는 없거나 혹은 모르겠다. 그저 그런 상황이 벌어졌을 뿐이다. 싫던 좋던 주변 환경을 바꿀 수 없어서 어늘한 말 대신 글과 그림으로, 꼬마마녀 스텔라와 냥이를 통해 세상과 소통할 방법을 찾는 중이다. 잘 되길 바래~!

For people on Earth, I am a stranger. What? You were born-to-be single in your mid-50s?

Indeed, I myself feel the same feelings whenever I talk about my life. I've never had a full-time job in my life, always worked alone, never had a so-called "fancy single life", never been to a Korean-style sauna(Jjimjilbang),  never eaten delivery food, and always drank hot coffee instead of "Ice-Ameriano" in the summer with murderous heat. Every day at 5 a.m. I wake up and go to the gym at 9 p.m. I go to bed just like a good child.

There's no reason or I don't know why I had such a lifestyle. I didn't plan it and that's just happened, whether I like it or not, Thus, I'm now looking for a way to communicate with the world through my writings and drawings with the help of little witches Stella and a cat.
