SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS

On 25 September 2015, countries adopted a set of goals to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years.

2015년 9월 25일, 각국은 새로운 지속가능발전 의제의 일환으로 빈곤 퇴치, 지구 보호, 그리고 모두를 위한 번영 보장을 위한 일련의 목표를 채택했습니다. 각 목표에는 향후 15년 동안 달성해야 할 구체적인 목표치가 설정되어 있습니다.

17골, 하나의 공동 미래

2015년, 전 세계는 단순하지만 강력한 아이디어에 동의했습니다: 진보는 사람과 지구, 번영을 함께 이끌어야 한다는 것입니다. 그 비전에서 빈곤 퇴치, 지구 보호, 모두의 복지를 보장하기 위한 공동 로드맵인 17개의 지속가능발전목표(SDGs)가 탄생했습니다.

SDGs는 개발의 모든 측면을 아우릅니다. 이들은 식량, 건강, 교육, 물, 에너지 등 기본적인 인간의 필요를 다룹니다. 그들은 양질의 일자리, 혁신, 회복력 있는 인프라, 불평등 감소를 통해 포용적 성장을 추진합니다. 그들은 기후 행동과 책임 있는 소비부터 수중 및 육상 생명 보호에 이르기까지 환경 관리가 요구됩니다. 그리고 그들은 모든 것을 묶는 토대로 강력한 제도, 평화, 정의, 파트너십을 강조합니다.

SDGs가 다른 점은 상호 연결된 성격입니다. 기후 행동의 진전은 건강, 식량 안보, 경제적 회복력을 지원합니다. 교육과 성평등은 빈곤 감소를 가속화합니다. 지속 가능한 도시는 청정 에너지, 스마트 인프라, 포용적 거버넌스에 의존합니다. 어떤 목표도 단독으로 존재하지 않습니다.

정부의 경우 SDGs는 정책과 국가 우선순위를 안내합니다. 기업과 투자자에게 전략, ESG 성과, 장기적 가치 창출을 조화시키는 틀을 제공합니다. 지역사회와 개인에게는 지역 행동이 전 세계적 영향에 기여한다는 사실을 상기시켜 줍니다.

SDGs는 2030년을 위한 단순한 열망이 아닙니다. 이는 성장의 정의를 재고하라는 촉구입니다—GDP뿐만 아니라 존엄성, 회복력, 지속 가능성으로도 측정되어야 합니다.

미래는 공유되기 때문이며, 그것을 만들어야 할 책임도 공유됩니다.

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted on 25 September 2015 by all UN Member States to end poverty, protect the planet, and ensure prosperity for all as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

지속가능발전목표(SDGs)는 2015년 9월 25일, 전 세계 유엔 회원국이 채택한 공동 목표로,

빈곤 종식, 지구 보호, 모두를 위한 번영을 2030년까지 달성하기 위한 국제적 약속입니다.

Goal 1. No Poverty

1번 목표. 빈곤 종식

End poverty in all its forms everywhere.

모든 형태의 빈곤을 전 세계적으로 종식합니다.

Goal 2. Zero Hunger

2번 목표. 기아 종식

End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition, and promote sustainable agriculture.

기아를 종식하고 식량 안보와 영양을 개선하며 지속가능한 농업을 촉진합니다.

Goal 3. Good Health and Well-being

3번 목표. 건강과 웰빙

Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.

모든 연령층을 위한 건강한 삶과 복지를 증진합니다.

Goal 4. Quality Education

4번 목표. 양질의 교육

Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

포용적이고 공평한 양질의 교육과 평생학습 기회를 보장합니다.

Goal 5. Gender Equality

5번 목표. 성평등

Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

성평등을 달성하고 모든 여성과 여아의 권한을 강화합니다.

Goal 6. Clean Water and Sanitation

6번 목표. 깨끗한 물과 위생

Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.

모두를 위한 안전한 식수와 위생의 지속가능한 관리를 보장합니다.

Goal 7. Affordable and Clean Energy

7번 목표. 지속가능한 에너지

Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy for all.

모두가 저렴하고 신뢰할 수 있는 지속가능한 현대적 에너지에 접근하도록 합니다.

Goal 8. Decent Work and Economic Growth

8번 목표. 양질의 일자리와 경제성장

Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.

지속적이고 포용적인 경제성장과 양질의 일자리를 촉진합니다.

Goal 9. Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure

9번 목표. 산업·혁신·인프라

Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation.

회복력 있는 인프라 구축과 지속가능한 산업화, 혁신을 촉진합니다.

Goal 10. Reduced Inequalities

10번 목표. 불평등 감소

Reduce inequality within and among countries.

국가 내·국가 간 불평등을 완화합니다.

Goal 11. Sustainable Cities and Communities

11번 목표. 지속가능한 도시와 공동체

Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.

도시와 공동체를 포용적이고 안전하며 지속가능하게 만듭니다.

Goal 12. Responsible Consumption and Production

12번 목표. 책임 있는 소비와 생산

Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns.

지속가능한 소비·생산 체계를 확립합니다.

Goal 13. Climate Action

13번 목표. 기후변화 대응

Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.

기후변화와 그 영향에 대응하기 위한 긴급 조치를 취합니다.

Goal 14. Life Below Water

14번 목표. 해양 생태계 보호

Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development.

해양과 해양자원을 보전하고 지속가능하게 이용합니다.

Goal 15. Life on Land

15번 목표. 육상 생태계 보호

Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt biodiversity loss.

육상 생태계를 보호·복원하고 생물다양성 손실을 방지합니다.

Goal 16. Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions

16번 목표. 평화·정의·제도

Promote peaceful and inclusive societies, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.

평화롭고 포용적인 사회와 정의에 대한 접근, 책임 있는 제도를 구축합니다.

Goal 17. Partnerships for the Goals

17번 목표. 글로벌 파트너십

Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalize the global partnership for sustainable development.

지속가능발전을 위한 이행 수단을 강화하고 글로벌 파트너십을 활성화합니다.
