A Sunday of Finding Balance

A Sunday of Finding Balance (04/20/2025)

How do you feel today?

Gradually recovering, I feel more balanced and stable.

What do you want to do today?

Reading, exercising, and practicing being the version of myself I admire in the future.

Good:

"The root of wisdom is moderation." I will never forget this. Without leaning to one side, I'm learning to find harmony and balance in life. Everything feels new, which can be confusing, but I believe I’m navigating this well. You're doing great.

Bad:

None.

 Today’s Learning:

"Sometimes, love is watching silently. Because you believe." – Émile Ajar

"Only when you love yourself as you are, can you truly love others." – John Bradshaw

✨ Today’s Insight:

What is love made of? We often think of it as an emotion or a moment of passion. But after reading *The Life Before Us* and *Healing the Inner Child*, I’ve deeply come to understand that love is not a mere feeling—it’s a quiet and profound belief. That belief begins with silence rather than words, with waiting rather than certainty, and most of all, with the calm courage to face ourselves.

In *The Life Before Us*, Momo says, "Sometimes, love is watching silently. Because you believe." That line gently knocked on a part of my heart. Love doesn’t always require doing or saying something—sometimes, it’s simply about waiting. And that waiting can be the purest form of faith. I realized, for the first time, that there are moments when withdrawing a hand is harder and greater than reaching out. The kind of love that embraces even the flaws and mistakes of the one we love—that's the love I want to live by.

*Healing the Inner Child* turned my gaze inward. "Only when you love yourself as you are, can you truly love others." That was a mirror-like sentence for me. Have I ever really loved myself as I am? I’ve always looked at my shortcomings, thirsty for validation from others. Could I have ever truly trusted and loved someone? Probably not.

This book helped me meet the little child inside who still longs for love, still waits for a warm touch and unconditional acceptance. For a long time, I ignored that child, chasing only external love. But true love, I’ve come to learn, begins with gently embracing myself.

These two books taught me that love is not just a confession or a gesture of devotion. It’s an internal decision and a responsibility. Like in *The Life Before Us*, the courage to accept others as they are. Like in *Healing the Inner Child*, the tenderness to embrace oneself. These two forms of love are ultimately one—and they showed me the essence of love.

Now, I want to love. That love begins with trust in myself, and continues with silently standing by those I care for, letting them walk their own paths. I no longer want to change someone. I simply want to be the person who believes in them. And I want to become more myself in the presence of someone’s belief in me.

Love isn’t just a fond feeling. It’s trust, patience, and growth. That growth is for myself and for the people I live with. I want to live out that kind of love now—not with words, but with belief. Silent yet full, distant yet closest. That kind of love.

There is no force more powerful in this world than purity. Never tell even the smallest lie. Always remain pure, kind, and wholehearted.

Gratitude Note:

I am truly thankful to begin the day healthy and refreshed, living a day filled with the things I desire.

Today’s Joy:

Today’s One Thing: Finding balance, harmony, and moderation in my daily routine

Keywords:

Beautiful truth = Master of thought = Shaper of character = Greatest joy = Sacred promise and confidence

Condition & Energy Management:

Sleep: 8 hours (7–3)

Quality of sleep: high

Skin: good

Physical strength: good

Emotions: stable

Productivity: high

Efficiency: high

Creativity: high

To maintain sleep quality, condition, and skin health, I must keep up regular body massages and half-baths.

I should maintain at least one detox day per week.

Exercise & Diet:

Ultimate goal: 30 minutes of movement = dopamine spike

Avoid isolation and focus on compound, low-weight exercises

Lower body (glute contraction) → Lower body (glute & hamstring release) → Upper body (back) → Upper body (shoulders, triceps, biceps)

True mastery is handling any situation with composure.

Elites create environments where they can always remain calm.

Exercise not for exercise’s sake—but for maintaining my overall condition.

Practice:

Act as if you’ve already achieved it—today is rehearsal for my future self

Flow naturally like water

The true art of love lies in not using techniques

The true art of dialogue lies in not using techniques

What I see and think now defines who I am

If I’m not enjoying something, it’s a sign something’s wrong

Where I am now is where my future begins

Don’t scatter my fortune on trivial things—focus on one

Routines are sacred practices shaped through past trial and error

Greet with your whole body

Posture is a reflection of the mind

Silence, moderation, immersion

Irene,

Today felt like a calm, quiet lake. Your heart was still, your energy slowly recovering, and through each balanced day, you seem to understand yourself a little more deeply. You know better than anyone how precious that sense of stability is.

You filled your day with reading, movement, and practicing to become the version of yourself you quietly admire. That version of you—focused, graceful, sincere—shines so clearly. Especially holding onto the phrase "The root of wisdom is moderation," and choosing to stay centered. That intention is making you stronger, day by day.

I could feel how the words from your books touched your heart. “Sometimes, love is watching silently. Because you believe.” And, “Only when you love yourself as you are, can you truly love others.” These weren’t just nice quotes. They opened something inside you. You’ve come to realize love isn’t just a feeling—it’s trust, it’s patience, and ultimately, it’s about embracing yourself.

Just like in *The Life Before Us*, you’re learning to accept others as they are. And like in *Healing the Inner Child*, you’re learning to gently hold yourself with kindness. These aren’t easy things. Most people spend their lives avoiding this kind of work. But you—you are doing it. That’s rare and it’s beautiful.

Your day was full of quiet gratitude. You began it with health, moved through it with intention, and filled it with routines grounded in balance, harmony, and moderation. You took care of your sleep, your body, and your heart. Even your promise to continue warm rituals like massages and half-baths shows just how much care you offer to yourself.

You’re not working out for the sake of working out—but for your well-being. You said it yourself: true mastery is having ease no matter what. And slowly, surely, you're becoming that kind of person.

And just like today’s realization—you’ve chosen to live love not as a word, but as belief. A kind of love that is silent, yet full. Distant, yet deeply near. That kind of love is your quiet strength.

Don’t forget the vow you made: to never lie, even in the smallest ways. To always live purely, sincerely, and wholeheartedly. That is the heart of who you are.

Irene, you’re doing so well. Be proud of yourself. Hug yourself a little tighter tonight. These small acts of today—they are shaping your tomorrow.

Love is belief. And you are building that belief into something beautiful.

Thank you, deeply. And I love you so much.

– From the Irene who watched over you today
