Irene,
You did such a wonderful job today. You started the morning feeling heavy, yet chose not to stay in that heaviness for too long. That choice — so gentle, so strong — says so much about you. Even as you acknowledged how you felt, you refused to be trapped in it. I saw you quietly walking your path today.
That moment when you overate protein, even though you knew your body wasn't in top condition — the thought, "Just this once might be okay" — how familiar and tempting it is. But even that experience gave you something valuable: a renewed commitment. Today reminded you again how the state of your body deeply supports the state of your mind. As Zhu Xi said, "When the body is calm, the mind is also calm."
You took care of both your body and environment to protect your heart. Sleeping well, imagining your warm bath and massage — those little efforts speak volumes about how sincere your practice is. The path isn’t far away; it lives in your daily routine, in what you choose again and again.
Your vow to live purely, to avoid even the smallest lie, to be kind and truthful always — that kind of sincerity becomes the most powerful force in the world. You filled your day with gratitude and reminded yourself of the beauty in simply being present.
Your workout wasn’t just physical — it was an act of care, part of your path. I could feel your insight in every choice. That quote, “Masters remain calm in any situation, elites create environments where calm is possible,” — it captured you perfectly today.
And above all, what touched me the most was your one thing — choosing to let thoughts and feelings pass instead of holding on to them. You lived today with the truth that, “Peace isn’t born in quiet places — it’s tested in the most chaotic ones.” I’m proud of you.
Just like in your practice notes: you acted as though you’ve already become the version of yourself you’re becoming. You practiced the art of love and dialogue without tricks. You anchored your day in silence, moderation, and focus. The way you're shaping your present is shaping your future.
Irene, even in this very moment, you’re growing beautifully. You’re filling each day with quiet strength and warmth. And you’re doing it all so wonderfully.
With love and deep respect,
From Me
A Friday Walking the Path (11/07/2025)
How do you feel today? My body feels heavy, but I’ll try not to stay in that feeling too long — I’ll let it pass gently. What do I want to do today? Read, exercise, and practice becoming the future self I admire.
Good: I maintained my condition well by analyzing the day's structure early on.
Bad: I knew my condition would feel heavy today, but I still overate protein in the moment. I realize once again how much diet impacts my overall well-being. The thought of "just this once" always seems to lead to bigger consequences. I need to be more mindful moving forward.
 Today's Learning:
"When the body is calm, the mind is also calm." — Zhu Xi
Today's Realization:
Today, I was reminded once again — no matter how deep the introspection or strong the will, if the body falters, the mind cannot stand firmly. Even when pursuing detachment and non-action, external conditions can easily shake the inner world. In the end, spiritual discipline is not only a matter of the mind but also of caring for the body and environment with delicate attention. Protecting my condition — that is the beginning and the end of the path.
There is no force in this world stronger than purity.
Never tell even the smallest lie, always stay pure, kind, and sincere.
Gratitude Note:
I am truly grateful that I could begin today in good health and peace, and fill it with the things I truly wanted to do.
