But in the meantime, we continue our APEC coverage here in the host city. And it's shaping up to be another busy day, packed with high-level meetings and summit diplomacy. First, we go live to the International Media Center, where our presidential office correspondent Song Yoo-jin is standing by. Yoo-jin, we just heard President Lee deliver his opening remarks to start Session Two. What can we expect from here? Dami, representatives from the 21 member economies are expected to discuss how the region can respond to the rapid rise of artificial intelligence, and to aging, shrinking populations, through closer cooperation.
-----------------
The theme of today's session, the second and final session of this year's APEC Leaders' Meeting, is "Preparing a Future-Ready Asia-Pacific." Here's National Security Adviser Wi Sung-lac on the significance of today's discussions. "For the first time, this year's APEC Leaders' Meeting will discuss how to respond to future-oriented challenges such as AI and demographic change. Our government will encourage member economies to share best practices and to work toward common solutions, so that we can plan for the future together."
-----------------
One of the biggest questions going into the Leaders' Meeting was whether a joint declaration could be adopted, because it requires unanimous approval. The Presidential Office says the "APEC Leaders' Gyeongju Declaration," along with two additional documents on artificial intelligence and demographic change, is expected to be formally endorsed at the end of Session Two. Afterward, President Lee will formally hand over the APEC chair to next year's host, Chinese President Xi Jinping.
-----------------
That will be followed by the traditional group photo, with participating leaders wearing a modern take on a traditional Korean scarf. And President Lee will wrap up his APEC duties with a press conference here at the International Media Center. That marks the end of APEC 2025 KOREA, but the President's day isn't over yet, right? That's right. President Lee is set to hold his first one-on-one summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping this afternoon, which marks the first state visit by a Chinese leader to South Korea in 11 years. The meeting will begin with the signing of the guest book, a photo session, and an official welcoming ceremony, followed by talks. Here's a preview of what Lee and Xi are expected to discuss.

"Under the shared principle that people's livelihoods come first, the two leaders are expected to take up ways to address livelihood issues in both countries. In that same context, they are also expected to discuss peace and the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula" After their talks, there will be a state dinner. Attention is now on whether the Lee–Xi summit could mark a turning point in Seoul–Beijing relations, which have been strained in recent years. With that,
