시편105편9-22절
9.Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac;
10.And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
11.Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance:
12.When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it.
13.When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people;
14.He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes;
15.Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.
16.Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread.
17.He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:
18.Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron:
19.Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him.
20.The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.
21.He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance:
22.To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom.
9.이것은 아브라함과 맺은 언약이고 이삭에게 하신 맹세이며
10.야곱에게 세우신 율례 곧 이스라엘에게 하신 영원한 언약이라
11.이르시기를 내가 가나안 땅을 네게 주어 너희에게 할당된 소유가 되게 하리라 하셨도다
12.그 때에 그들의 사람 수가 적어 그 땅의 나그네가 되었고
13.이 족속에게서 저 족속에게로, 이 나라에서 다른 민족에게로 떠돌아다녔도다
14.그러나 그는 사람이 그들을 억압하는 것을 용납하지 아니하시고 그들로 말미암아 왕들을 꾸짖어
15.이르시기를 나의 기름 부은 자를 손대지 말며 나의 선지자들을 해하지 말라 하셨도다
16.그가 또 그땅에 기근이 들게 하사 그들이 의지하고 있는 양식을 다 끊으셨도돠
17.그가 한 사람을 앞서 보내셨음이여 오셉이 종으로 팔렸도다
18.그의 발은 차꼬를 차고 그의 몸은 쇠사슬에 매였으니
19.곧 여호와의 말씀이 응할 때까지라 그의 말씀이 그를 단련하였도다
20.왕이 사람을 보내어 그를 석방함이여 뭇 백성의 통치자가 그를 자유롭게 하였도다
21.그를 그의 집의 주관자로 삼아 그의 모든 소유를 관리하게 하고
22.그의 뜻대로 모든 신하를 다스리며 그의 지혜로 장로들을 교훈하게 하였도다
하나님의 계획하심과 자기 백성들을 사랑하심을 생각할 때, 모든 것이 완벽하게 준비된 것을 주실 것으로 기대하게 됩니다. 아브라함을 통해 세우신 언약의 말씀은 가나안 땅을 네게 주어 너희에게 할당된 소유가 되게 하리라 였습니다. 그러나 아브라함이 모든 것이 풍족하고 기름졌던 갈대아 우르땅을 떠나 힘겹게 찾아 온 가나안 땅은 기근이 심했고, 땅 한 평 얻지 못하였습니다. 그러나 주님의 편에서는 이미 모든 것이 준비되었고, 계획 된 것이었지만, 사람의 눈으로는 볼 수 없는 영적인 것이었습니다. 하나님의 계획은 인간 육신의 나라를 건설함도 있지만, 먼저는 영적 나라를 세우고자 함이었습니다.
아브라함의 믿음을 시험하시고, 믿음의 사람으로 훈련시키시고, 그가 말씀으로 연단됨을 통해 영적인 나라가 세워졌을 때, 육적인 나라도 세울 수 있는 것이었습니다. 그래야 교만해지지 않고, 주님의 약속을 끝까지 지켜 행할 수 있으며, 인간의 나라가 아닌 주님의 나라를 세울 수 있을 것이기 때문입니다.
히브리서 11장에서 말했듯이 아브라함은 소유가 많았습니다. 큰 공동체를 이루며 살았습니다. 그러나 그가 자기의 육신의 성을 세우지 않고, 장막에 거하였으며, 그 땅의 주인이 아니라 나그네로 살았다고 합니다. 장차 올 하늘에 있는 아름다운 도성을 바라보았기 때문이라고 히브리서 저자는 말합니다. 하나님께서 사람을 훈련하시고, 약속의 말씀을 이루어 가시며, 하나님 나라를 세우심은 인간을 하나님처럼, 정말 하나님 형상 닮은 자로서 살게 하심입니다.
그러나, 인간은 그 하나님의 사랑을 깨닫지 못하고, 믿음의 시험을 제대로 통과하지 못합니다.
그러나 하나님은 이미 아셔서 그 믿음의 여정속에 돕는자를 보내시고, 매일 말씀으로 양육하시고, 절기마다 자신을 친히 나타내십니다. 하나님의 살아계심을 나타내시는 것이지요.
인간이 얼마나 연약하고 부족한지 아시기 때문입니다.
주님의 인자하심과 성실하심이 없다면, 우리는 이미 넘어져서 일어나지 못했을 것입니다.
멸망당해 마땅한 죽을 수 밖에 없는 인생들이 되었겠지요.
요셉의 인생도 마찬가지입니다. 그에게 보여주신 비전들은 참으로 놀라운 것이었지만, 그 비전을 이루시기까지 요셉은 말씀으로 연단되어야 했습니다. 애굽의 종으로 팔려가야했고, 죄수로 지냈어야합니다. 그 힘든 시간들은 요셉은 어떻게 견뎌냈을까요. 요셉은 그리아니하실지라도 주님을 찬양하였고, 주님을 경외하였습니다. 그렇기에 어떤 자리에 있던지 하나님을 경외하는 마음으로 충성을 다했고, 가는 곳마다 사람들에게 인정을 받고 칭찬을 받았습니다. 신뢰를 얻었습니다. 그리하여 주님은 주님의 계획대로 그를 애굽의 총리로 세우셨습니다.
요셉은 그가 총리가 되었을 줄을 알았을까요? 아니요. 전혀 그렇지 않았습니다. 그러나 그는 신실하신 하나님을 믿었고, 경외하였습니다. 하나님께서는 그의 백성들을 가르치시고, 연단하시고, 온전한 하나님의 사람으로 세우십니다. 그것이 하나님의 방법입니다.
그런데 우리는 예수님을 믿으면, 복받는다하며 육적인 번영만을 바라봅니다. 우리 안에 영적인 하나님 나라는 제대로 세우지도 않으면서, 눈에 보이는 육적인 내 나라만 세우려고 하기에, 하나님의 연단하심은 지속될 수 밖에 없습니다. 우리가 바뀌지 않기 때문이지요. 우리가 버리지 못하고 있기 때문입니다. 하나님의 연단이 있다면, 그 또한 감사할 일입니다. 그만큼 사랑하시어 유업을 주기고자 함이기 때문입니다. 하나님의 연단이 없고, 육적인 내 나라를 세우도록 내버려두고 계시다면, 자식으로 생각하지 않으신다는 뜻이니, 이보다 더 큰 형벌이 어디 있을까요.
말씀으로 연단되었을 때 주어지는 가장 큰 은혜는 지혜입니다.
말씀으로 연단되어 지혜를 얻은 요셉은 애굽왕으로 하여금 가장 지혜로운 자로 뽑혔고, 왕의 집의 주관자로 세움받았고, 그의 지혜로 모든 신하들을 다스리며, 장로들을 교훈하였다 합니다.
하나님께서도 우리에게 자신의 유업을 맡기기 위하여 이 세상을 필드로 하여 믿음의 훈련, 말씀의 훈련을 시키시어 하나님의 지혜를 얻어 하나님의 유업을 다스리게 되는 영광을 주시고자합니다. 우리가 아무리 세상의 지식을 통달하여 높은 자리에 올라갔다한들 천지를 창조하신 창조주의 지혜를 따라갈 수 있을까요?
지혜로운 자는 그 이치를 깨닫고, 무엇이 가치있는지 분별할 수 있겠지요.
어떠한 상황 속에서도 하나님을 경외하였던 요셉의 삶은 오늘날 우리가 살아가야 할 인생의 본이 됩니다.
When we consider God's plan and His love for His people, we expect that He will give us everything perfectly prepared. The word of the covenant established through Abraham was that the land of Canaan would be given to you as an allotted possession to you. However, the land of Canaan, to which Abraham struggled to find after leaving the land of Ur of the Chaldeans, where everything was prosperous and fertile, was severely famined, and he could not get an acre of land. However, on the Lord's side, everything was already prepared and planned, but it was a spiritual thing that human eyes could not see. God's plan was to establish a physical kingdom, but first to establish a spiritual kingdom.
When Abraham's faith was tested, trained as a man of faith, and a spiritual nation was established through the refinement of the word, a physical nation could also be established. This is because you will not become arrogant, you will be able to keep the Lord's promise to the end, and you will be able to establish the Lord's kingdom, not a human kingdom.
As we read in Hebrews 11, Abraham had many possessions. We lived in a large community. However, it is said that he did not build a city of his own flesh, but lived in a tent, and lived as a stranger and not as a master of the land. The author of Hebrews says that it is because he looked at the beautiful city in the heavens to come. God trains people, fulfills the word of promise, and establishes the kingdom of God is to make people live like God, as people who truly resemble God.
However, human beings do not realize the love of God and cannot properly pass the test of faith.
However, God already knows and sends helpers on the journey of faith, nurtures them with the Word every day, and personally reveals Himself at each feast. It shows that God is alive.
It's because you know how fragile and lacking humans are.
If it were not for the Lord's lovingkindness and sincerity, we would have already fallen and not been able to get up.
It must have been a life that had no choice but to die.
Joseph's life is the same. The visions shown to him were truly amazing, but Joseph had to be trained in the Word to achieve those visions. He had to be sold as a slave in Egypt and served as a prisoner. How did Joseph endure those hard times? Even if Joseph did not, he praised the Lord and feared the Lord. So, wherever I was, I was loyal to God with a heart that feared God, and I was recognized and praised by people wherever I went. Trust has been earned. So the Lord made him the Prime Minister of Egypt according to the Lord's plan.
Did Joseph know that he would become prime minister? no. Not at all. However, he believed and feared the faithful God. God teaches His people, trains them, and builds them into perfect people of God. That's God's way.
However, if we believe in Jesus, we only look for physical prosperity, claiming that we will be blessed. God's podium has no choice but to continue because we do not properly establish the spiritual kingdom of God within us, but try to establish only our visible, physical kingdom. Because we don't change. because we can't throw it away. If there is God's podium, that too is something to be thankful for. It is because I want to give you an inheritance by loving you so much. There is no refinement of God, and if you leave me alone to establish my physical kingdom, it means that you do not consider me as a child. What punishment could be greater than this?
Wisdom is the greatest grace given when we are refined by the Word.
Joseph, who was refined by the Word and gained wisdom, was chosen by the king of Egypt as the wisest man, and was made the ruler of the king's house, governing all his servants with his wisdom, and instructing the elders.
God also wants to give us the glory of gaining God's wisdom and governing God's inheritance by training us in faith and words in this world to entrust us with His inheritance. No matter how much we master the knowledge of the world and ascend to a high position, can we follow the wisdom of the Creator who created the heavens and the earth?
A wise person will be able to realize the logic and discerpt what is valuable.
The life of Joseph, who feared God under any circumstances, serves as an example for our lives today.
