.나무의 역동만큼 시적인 것이 또 있을까 싶을 정도로 나무의 시는 아름답다.

나무처럼 사랑스런 시를

이전에는 보지 못했네.

단물이 흐르는 대지의 젖가슴에

목마른 입술을 대고 있는 나무,

온종일 하나님을 바라보며

잎이 무성한 팔을 들어 기도하는 나무,

여름에는 제 머리칼에

지빠귀 새 둥지를 틀게 하고

눈이 내리면 안아주며

여름비 하고도 친하게 지내는 나무

시는 나 같은 바보가 쓰지만

나무를 기르는 건 오직 하나님뿐이시네.
