[글감] The Man in the Arena

 새로운 전자 제품 혹은 칩셋이 시장에 새로 출시될 때 몇몇 사람들은 냉소와 조롱을 보낸다. 그 이유와 비판의 근거에서 배워야 할 것은 배우고, 근거 없는 냉소는 물리쳐야겠지만, 오늘 말하고 싶은 것은 그럼에도 불구하고 한 걸음씩 나아가려는 사람들이 있다는 것. 새로운 전자 제품을 출시하는 것 혹은 칩을 설계하고 이것을 실제 실리콘에 제품화하는 것은 어려운 기술이다. 이는 자본이 필요하고 유능한 인력도 있어야 하며, 무엇보다도 인내의 시간이 필요하다. 관전자들이 객석에서 조롱과 냉소로 시간을 보낼 때 경기장에 있는 사람들은 한 걸음씩 나아가며 시간을 자신들의 편으로 만드는 작업을 한다. 나는 비록 그 과정에서 먼지가 묻고 땀을 흘리더라도 그런 사람들과 함께하고 싶다. 그리고 그 과정에서 구성원들과 같이 성장해 나가고 결국 좋은 제품을 사회에 선보이고 싶다. 이것을 활용하여 다양한 창의와 많은 공헌이 사회에 이루어질 수 있기를 바라며.
