What is the Gospel?

More important than going to church is going to heaven.
Can I ask you one question ?

If you died today, are you 100% sure your soul would be in heaven?

So, what do you think a person has to do to go to heaven?

What does the Bible say?
Can I show you from the bible ?

In Acts 16 verse 31,
Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
그들이 이르되, 주 예수 그리스도를 믿으라. 그리하면 네가 구원을 받고 네 집이 받으리라, 하며

(사도행전 16:31)

They just said

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ”.
Believe on means putting 100% of your faith and trust on Jesus, who died and paid for all of your past, present and even future sins!

If you truly rely on him as the only way of salvation, you will be born again in God’s family and he will never leave you nor forsake you.

[Bad News]

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; (Romans 3:23)
모든 사람이 죄를 지어 하나님의 영광에 이르지 못하더니(로마서 3:23)

Bible says that we are all sinners and there is a consequences of sin.

For the wages of sin is death; (Romans 6:23)
죄의 삯은 사망이나 (로마서 6:23)

But this verse is not only talking about  physical death. Have you ever heard about Second death?

And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Revelation 20:14-15)

사망과 지옥도 불 호수에 던져졌더라. 이것은 둘째 사망이니라.
누구든지 생명책에 기록된 것으로 드러나지 않은 자는 불 호수에 던져졌더라. (요한계시록 20:14-15)

Here is the list of people that is going to lake of fire.

But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (Revelation 21:8)

 그러나 두려워하는 자들과 믿지 않는 자들과 가증한 자들과 살인자들과 음행을 일삼는 자들과 마법사들과 우상 숭배자들과 모든 거짓말쟁이들은 불과 유황으로 타는 호수에서 자기 몫을 받으리니 이것은 둘째 사망이니라. (요한계시록 21:8)

Have you made a lie before?

I also had lied many times before.
You and me, we are all liars, we are all sinners.
So we deserve to go to hell.

However, Bible says God so loved the world. God loved us and he doesn’t want us to go to hell.

Therefore, he has a special solution for this problem.

[Good News]
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,

Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
우리가 아직 죄인이었을 때에 그리스도께서 우리를 위해 죽으심으로 하나님께서 우리를 향한 자신의 사랑을 당당히 제시하시느니라. (로마서 5:8)

Have you heard about Jesus Christ?
Bible says he is the son of God.
And he is also God.

Jesus is not a historical character.
The Bible over and over again says we must ‘believe on’ him.

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

너희가 믿음을 통해 은혜로 구원을 받았나니 그것은 너희 자신에게서 난 것이 아니요 하나님의 선물이니라.
행위에서 난 것이 아니니 이것은 아무도 자랑하지 못하게 하려 함이라.
(에베소서 2:8-9)

If we can go to heaven by good deeds, it is a wage not a free gift.
But Bible says salvation is free.

but the gift of God is eternal life through

Jesus Christ our Lord.
(Romans 6:23)
하나님의 선물은 예수 그리스도 우리 주를 통해 얻는 영원한 생명이니라.
(로마서 6:23)

I want to ask you few questions to see if you have understood me.

1. What do you believe a person has to do to go to heaven?
-Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ

2. If that person believes Lord Jesus today, what kind of gift that God gives him?
-Eternal Life

3. What should you do not to lose your salvation?
-Nothing. Your salvation is eternally guaranteed by the Jesus.

4. For how many years would you be saved?
-For eternal

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,

thou shalt be saved.
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
(Romans 10:9-10)

네가 만일 네 입으로 주 예수님을 시인하고 하나님께서 그분을 죽은 자들로부터 살리신 것을 네 마음속으로 믿으면 구원을 받으리니
사람이 마음으로 믿어 의에 이르고 입으로 시인하여 구원에 이르느니라.
(로마서 10:9-10)

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
누구든지 주의 이름을 부르는 자는 구원을 받으리라. (로마서 10:13)

Jesus is offering you a free gift today.
There is only one thing you have to do to receive this free gift.

If you would like to tell Jesus what you believe and receive eternal life, you can repeat after me.

Dear Jesus, I know I’m a sinner. I know I deserved to go to hell. But I believe that you died on the cross for me and arose again.
Please save me right now and give me eternal life. I’m only trusting you Jesus. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Now you are child of God and he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Whatever you pray in the name of Jesus,

God will hear your prayer.
I hope to see you in heaven oneday.
