Hello, first of all, I would like to extend a sincere thank you to those of you who have continued to subscribe to this space, even though it has been neglected for several years.
아마 오늘 처음 보는 분들도 계실텐데요,
저는 다양한 사람들과 문화 교류를 하며 스토리를 만드는 사람입니다. 그동안 아프리카와 태국 등에서 수학책, 괴불노리개 프로젝트 등을 진행하며 다른 곳에서는 듣기 힘들 현지인들의 이야기들을 직접 듣거나 경험해왔고, 이 이야기들을 여러분과 공유하고 싶어 이 브런치 페이지를 만들었습니다.
For those who might be seeing this for the first time today, let me reintroduce myself. I'm someone who creates stories through cultural exchange with diverse people. Over the years, I've run various projects, like making and selling math textbooks for children in Africa and teaching Karen people how to make Goebul norigaes in Thailand.
Through these experiences, I've directly heard and experienced stories from local people that you'd be hard-pressed to hear anywhere else. I created this Brunch page because I wanted to share these stories with all of you.
그런데 이야기가 너무 많아 어디서부터 어떻게 풀어야 할지 몰라 헤매다가 한동안은 이곳에서의 글쓰기를 멈췄고, 대신 지난 2년 간은 네이버 블로그에 과거의 일들을 일기처럼 차곡차곡 정리하고 책으로 엮어 냈습니다.
However, I had so many stories that I didn't know where to begin, which left me feeling quite lost for a while. So, I stopped writing here for some time. Instead, for the past two years, I've been diligently organizing past events, just like writing a diary, on my Naver blog and also compiled and published these stories in a book.
그리고 이제 그렇게 쌓아둔 기록들 중 공유하고 싶은 것들을 골라 이곳에 올리려 합니다.
Now, I've selected the stories I want to share from those compiled records and plan to post them here.
다양하고 많은 이야기 중에서 우선 제가 어떻게 이런 이야기들을 알게 되었고, 또 왜 여러분과 공유하려고 하는지를 먼저 설명하고 싶어요. 그래서 그 시작이 되는 아프리카 우물 만들기 모금 이야기부터 할 예정입니다.
Among the many diverse stories, I first want to explain how I came to know these tales and why I want to share them with you. So, I'll start with the story of the well-building fundraising project in Africa, which was the beginning of it all.
웰던 수학책이 6학년 책까지 시리즈로 있는게 아니라 교육부 승인을 얻기 힘들어 판매가 더디다는 내용...이지만...! 조금씩 판매되고 있답니다
Just today, I received some of the sales proceeds for the Well Done Math textbooks being sold in Guinea, Africa. And tomorrow, I'll be sending a Goebulnorigaes order to a customer in Taiwan who reached out after hearing my story. Both the math textbook project and the Goebul norigae project are small, but they are consistently making progress, and I want to express my deep gratitude to all my precious supporters once again. Through these endeavors, I also want to share the hidden stories that I haven't been able to tell until now.
마침 오늘은 오랜만에 아프리카 기니에서 판매 중인 웰던수학책의 판매 대금 일부를 받았습니다. 그리고 내일은 저의 이야기를 듣고 연락을 주신 대만 손님께서 주문해주신 괴불노리개를 보낼 예정이고요. 수학책 프로젝트와 괴불노리개, 모두 작지만 꾸준히 성과를 만들어가고 있음을 다시 한번 후원자분들께 알려드리며 깊은 감사의 말씀 전하고요, 그동안 이야기하지 못했던, 이러한 일들 안에 숨은 이야기들도 전하고자 합니다.
