전 세계적인 물가상승이 지속되면서 모두의 일상생활에 큰 영향을 미치고 있다. 오늘은 물가 상승 관련 단어들을 알아보자.

Inflation is rocking U.S. consumers at levels not experienced in more than 40 years.    From the cost of buying and renting homes and buying weekly groceries to filling up the gas tank, booking travel and more, rising prices have hit U.S. spenders for much of this year. The skyrocketing cost of living has prompted state legislators to suspend gas taxes and encouraged a flurry of moves from the White House and the Federal Reserve to keep prices from spiraling out of control.

* 한국어와는 다른 영어식 표현 *

우리말로 명사 + 명사로 이루어진 표현을 영어로는 형용사+ 명사 형태로 자주 쓴다. 

예를 들어 위에 나와 있듯이 '물가 상승'이라는 명사 + 명사 표현이

영어로는 ' rising(분사-형용사 역할) + prices (명사)로 표현되었다. 

같은 예로' 비용 급등'(명사+명사)을 영어로는 skyroketing(분사-형욕사역할) + cost (명사)로 표현하였다.
