트럼프 밴스 부통령 지명 ‘대선 불복 대응’ 극단주의 평가 한국언론 '흙수저' 홍보
트럼프 미 대선 후보가 부통령에 밴스 상원의원 지명하자 미국 언론들은 ‘대선 결과 불복 대응 준비’서 부터 ‘보수주의 선도자’ ‘극단주의’ 평가를 내놨고 한국언론들은 '흙수저'로 집중 부각했다.
밴스 상원의원의 ‘선거 부정’에 대한 발언으로 NYT가 “그는 올해 선거 결과를 받아들이지 않겠다고 약속했다”고 15일 보도했다.
부통령으로 지명된 오하이오주 공화당 J.D. 밴스 상원의원은 5월 12일 CNN 데이나 배시(Dana Bash) 인터뷰에서 ‘11월 선거 결과를 받아들일 것이냐’ 질문에 “만약 우리가 공정한 선거를 치른다면, 나는 그 결과를 받아들일 것이다"라며 "2000년에 민주당이 그랬던 것처럼, 과거에 민주당이 그랬던 것처럼, 그리고 2020년에 공화당이 그랬던 것처럼, 우리는 기꺼이 그 문제들이 문제라고 생각한다면, 기꺼이 그 문제들을 추구하고 당신의 사건을 기소하려고 노력해야 한다"고 말해 사실상 선거 결과 불승복으로 밝혔다.
