나는
눈뜬 장님
가까운 곳,
더구나 자기 자신은 보지 못하지.
집안에 불 켜져 있건만
등불 찾고 있지.
눈 뜨고도 보지 못하네.
마음의 눈을 뜨지 않으면!
벗에게
진실로 이르노니,
언제나
마음의 눈을 활짝 뜨라!
I am
a blind one, eyes wide open.
So near it lies —
and yet I do not see,
not even myself.
Though the house is lit within,
I still search for a lantern.
With open eyes,
still I am blind —
unless the eyes of the heart awaken.
To you, dear friend,
I speak in truth:
Always,
keep the eyes of your heart wide open.
