우리는 조형작가다.
하지만… 왜 카페를 열었을까?
갤러리나 뮤지엄에 가면
공기는 늘 무거웠고,
지금 당장
이해해야 할 것 같은
압박이 있었다.
“이건 무슨 이야기일까?”
“누가 왜 만들었을까?”
“전시가 끝나면,
기회도 사라지겠지.”
커피가 답이었다.
모두를 편안히 앉히고
이 순간에 머물게 한다.
예술도 만나고,
작가도 만나는 공간.
압박에 쫓기지 않는 곳.
그들의 삶에
내 삶도 겹쳐지는 곳.
우리는
관념을 쉬프팅 하고
새로운 시도를 하고 있다.

Art x Shift
We are sculptors.
But… why did we open a café?
Whenever we stepped into
galleries or museums,
the air always felt heavy.
There was this pressure
to understand everything
right now.
“What is this trying to say?”
“Who made it, and why?”
“And once the exhibition ends,
will the opportunity disappear too?”
Coffee was the answer.
It invites everyone to sit,
to stay in the moment.
A space where art meets people,
and artists are part of the conversation.
A place free from pressure—
where their lives and ours
can gently overlap.
We are shifting perceptions
and making new attempts.

아트쉬프트(Art x Shift)
저희는 미술작가 부부로서, 예술을 만나는 방식에
변화를 시도하고자 아트쉬프트를 만들었습니다.
아트쉬프트는 예술이 단순한 결과물에 그치지 않고,
예술과 삶, 작가와 관객이 함께 어우러지는 공간입니다. 작업실, 전시공간, 카페, 굿즈샵이 결합된 이곳은 예술가의 창작 과정과 그 안에 담긴 고민, 서사를 자연스럽게 나누며, 예술이 일상 속에 스며드는 문화를 만들어가고자 합니다.
We created Art x Shift with the intention of transforming the way we as a visual artist couple engage with art. Art x Shift is a space where art goes beyond being a mere outcome, becoming a place where art, life, and the connection between artists and audiences coexist. With a combination of a studio, exhibition space, café, and a shop, this space naturally shares the process of creation, the challenges, and narratives within, while fostering a culture where art seamlessly integrates into everyday life.
