사라지지 못하는 힘
The power that cannot dissapear.
지키고 싶은 것이 있다. 너도 좋고 나도 좋은 적당한 타협 속의 삶이 아니라, 진정으로 사랑하는 것을 위해 최선을 다해 만들어내고 싶은 것. 단순히 좋아하는 것이 아니라 사랑하는 것. 좋아함과 사랑함은 닮아 있지만, 끝내 전혀 다른 결과를 낳는다.
사람들은 내면의 소리에 귀 기울이라고 말한다. 그러나 내면에는 수많은 목소리가 섞여 있다. 그 안에서 단순한 호감과 불편함, 그리고 진짜 사랑을 구별해 내는 일은 쉽지 않다. 하지만 반드시 구별해야 한다. 하나씩 걷어내고 또 걷어내다 보면 결국 사라지지 못하고 남아 있는 것이 드러난다.
사랑은 꾸며내는 것이 아니다. 하기 힘들고 때로는 불편하지만 끝내 지켜야 하는 것 속에서 드러난다. 그리고 그 사랑은 언제나 불안과 함께 있다. 소중한 것일수록 잃을까 두렵고, 제대로 해내지 못할까 떨린다. 그러나 불안을 넘어서는 용기야말로 그 사랑을 지켜내는 힘이 된다.
우리는 모두 다르다. 개념과 가치관의 미세한 차이가 우선순위를 바꾸고, 그 작은 차이가 전혀 다른 삶을 만든다. 안정을 앞세우면 모험은 뒤로 밀리고, 모험을 앞세우면 안정은 뒤로 밀린다. 선택의 미묘한 차이가 결국 삶의 모양을 결정한다. 그렇기에 지금 내가 붙들고 있는 가장 큰 사랑이 무엇인지 물어야 한다.
열심히 밥을 짓는데 설탕을 넣자고 할 때, 당연히 반대하는 것처럼. 절대적으로 지켜야 할 것이 있다. 그것이 명확해지는 순간, 선택은 단순해지고 삶의 중심은 흔들리지 않는다. 사랑의 답은 언제나 하나다. 좋은 것이 아닌 최고의 것을, 최선을 다해 주고 싶다는 것. 그 최선의 사랑이 진심을 드러내고 진실을 지킨다. 사랑은 느리지만 멈추지 않고 일한다. 그리고 반드시 드러난다.

Art x Shift
There are things I want to protect. Not a life of compromise where everything is simply good enough for both you and me, but something I want to create by giving my very best for what I truly love. It is not about what I like, but about what I love. Liking and loving may look alike, but in the end they produce entirely different results.
People say we should listen to our inner voice. Yet inside there are countless voices. It is not easy to distinguish between mere preference, discomfort, and true love. But it must be done. When you strip things away one by one, what refuses to disappear, what struggles to remain, reveals itself.
Love is not something fabricated. It emerges in what is hard to do, in what feels uncomfortable, in what must be protected until the end. And love always comes with anxiety. The more precious it is, the more we fear losing it, the more we tremble at the thought of failing it. But the courage to overcome that anxiety becomes the strength that protects love.
We are not all the same. Subtle differences in concepts and values change our priorities, and those small differences create entirely different lives. If stability is placed first, adventure falls behind. If adventure is placed first, stability falls behind. The smallest difference in choice eventually shapes the form of life. That is why we must ask what the greatest love we are holding on to really is.
It is like cooking rice with care and someone insists on adding sugar. You naturally refuse. There are things that must absolutely be protected. When that becomes clear, the choice is simple and the center of life does not shake. The answer of love is always the same. It is not to give what is merely good, but to give the very best. That love reveals sincerity and guards truth. Love works slowly but never stops. And it will be revealed without fail.

저희는 미술작가 부부로서, 예술을 만나는 방식에 변화를 시도하고자 아트쉬프트를 만들었습니다. 아트쉬프트는 예술이 단순한 결과물에 그치지 않고, 예술과 삶, 작가와 관객이 함께 어우러지는 공간입니다. 작업실, 전시공간, 카페, 굿즈샵이 결합된 이곳은 예술가의 창작 과정과 그 안에 담긴 고민, 서사를 자연스럽게 나누며, 예술이 일상 속에 스며드는 문화를 만들어가고자 합니다.
We created Art x Shift with the intention of transforming the way we as a visual artist couple engage with art. Art x Shift is a space where art goes beyond being a mere outcome, becoming a place where art, life, and the connection between artists and audiences coexist. With a combination of a studio, exhibition space, café, and a shop, this space naturally shares the process of creation, the challenges, and narratives within, while fostering a culture where art seamlessly integrates into everyday life.
