작품을 만들며 가장 어려운 순간은,
언제 손을 떼야할지 모를 때다.
조금만 더 손을 대면 망칠 것 같고,
조금 덜 만지면 미완성으로 남을 것 같은
그 숨 막히는 경계에서
우리는 많은 작품을
‘완성’이라는 이름으로 놓아야 한다.
바로 그 순간,
우리는 예술의 본질을 마주한다.
예술의 완성은
작품의 결과물에 있지 않고
왜 시작했는지에 있다.
예술은 시작 될 뿐,
끝나지 않는다.

The hardest moment in making a work
is not knowing when to stop.
One more touch might ruin it.
One less, and it feels incomplete.
In that breathless tension,
we release so many pieces
under the name of “finished.”
But it is in that moment
we come face to face with the truth of art.
The completion of art is not
in the final outcome
but in why it began.
Art begins

저희는 미술작가 부부로서, 예술을 만나는 방식에
변화를 시도하고자 아트쉬프트를 만들었습니다. 아트쉬프트는 예술이 단순한 결과물에 그치지 않고, 예술과 삶, 작가와 관객이 함께 어우러지는 공간입니다. 작업실, 전시공간, 카페, 굿즈샵이 결합된 이곳은 예술가의 창작 과정과 그 안에 담긴 고민, 서사를 자연스럽게 나누며, 예술이 일상 속에 스며드는 문화를 만들어가고자 합니다.
We created Art x Shift with the intention of transforming the way we as a visual artist couple engage with art. Art x Shift is a space where art goes beyond being a mere outcome, becoming a place where art, life, and the connection between artists and audiences coexist. With a combination of a studio, exhibition space, café, and a shop, this space naturally shares the process of creation, the challenges, and narratives within, while fostering a culture where art seamlessly integrates into everyday life.
